What is ZeroPi?
ZeroPi is an Arduino Zero Compatible development kit for robotic motion structure systems. It uses Atmel SAMD21J18, 32-bit ARM Cortex M0+ as the MCU, which is fully compatible with the official Arduino Zero, Raspberry Pi and with more hardware resources dedicate for robot drive. ZeroPi can be applied to all kinds of application scenes such as 3D printer, CNC, tracked mobile robot and etc. ZeroPi has specially designed the M4 holes in order to perfectly compatible with Makeblock Aluminum mechanical parts to support open-source hardware or robotic projects.
Powerful Motor Driver Modules
ZeroPi can control 11 micro servos and 8 DC motors at the same time (or 4 stepper motors). The 4-channel SLOT module is compatible with common stepper motor and DC motor drivers (such as DRV8825 or A4988 Stepper motor driver and TB6612 DC motor driver). It also support the opens-source sensors.
ZeroPi is an Arduino zero compatible board. It is based on ATSAMD21G18, 32-Bit ARM Cortex M0+ microcontroller (Arduino zero CPU). This represent a big step towards greater computing power when compared to the existing solution based on 8-bit MCU. ZeroPi can be programmed using the Arduino IDE, giving you access to a wide range of easy to use libraries. The example codes will be provided for ZeroPi specific functions such as encoder readout and temperature monitoring.
Raspberry Pi Compatible
By simply connecting Raspberry Pi to ZeroPi (just plug in the RPI connector), you will discover countless features, such as full tablet control, wireless control, Bluetooth and much more. You can install a web interface to control the motors and servos directly. It even can achieve interface with Java Script.
Perfect for 3D Printer
ZeroPi is the next generation mainboard for 3D printer, we successfully ported the Marlin and Repetier firmware to ZeroPi for I3 and delta open-source 3D printer after 2-month hardworking, now you can directly control the 3D printer based on ZeroPi and don’t need an expansion board. It’s four times faster than Mega2560, less cost and only half-size of it. This is already a big step forward, but it doesn’t end here.

ZeroPi is perfectly with Raspberry pi, with the raspberry Pi you can install a web interface to control your printer remotely and control everything by using your browser during printing.

ZeroPi is also specially designed for motion structure systems. We have built many projects to test its functions and discover more possibilities from simple to complex systems of robotic.

Risks and challenges
Our purpose is to create an easy-to-use product which provides an integrated solution between Arduino and Raspberry Pi in order to let makers and geeks can make projects easier and faster. The main risks for ZeroPi come from delays in the manufacturing and shipping processes.
