About
Hello!! I’m Tori Scott and I’m bringing my comedy cabaret show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer! The Edinburgh Fringe is the world’s largest arts festival and I have been offered an incredible opportunity to perform my show on this huge international platform.

I am a New York City based singer and comedian who has been performing my cabaret shows throughout NYC for the past 10 years. My show is a comedy musical cabaret that celebrates my poor life choices, being a woman constantly surrounded by gay men, and my unwavering love of vodka. This musical journey is told through true stories and songs from multiple genres ranging from Judy Garland to Kesha.
The vocals are legit, the thirst is real, and the stories are all true. What started as a 45 minute set in the back of Vlada Lounge in Hell’s Kitchen in 2008, has grown into a residency at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater where, for the past 6 years, I’ve been able to expand my audience and grow as a performer. Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to perform my shows in places like London, Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas, Provincetown, Fire Island, and on gay cruises throughout the Caribbean for Atlantis Events and RSVP Vacations.

Performing at the Fringe is an unbelievable opportunity that couldn’t come at a more perfect time. After years of working on material at Joe’s Pub, I’m bringing my strongest show to an international audience. This is a chance of a lifetime and will allow me to perform for my biggest audience to date and put me on the map as an international artist.
Careers have launched at the Edinburgh Fringe. Tom Stoppard’s breakthrough play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead premiered in Edinburgh in 1966. STOMP premiered at the Festival. Maggie Smith, Emma Thompson, and Robin Williams all performed at the Fringe early in their career. With a strong team behind me, this upcoming moment in Edinburgh has the potential to be a huge breakthrough in my career.

I am thrilled to have the renowned company Underbelly presenting my show in their Dairy Room Theatre. I also have Robin Rayner on board as my producer in association with Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater!
About Underbelly - Underbelly is one of the largest venue operations at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, selling 291,000 tickets for over 150 shows over 25 days in 2017. Performers who have been presented by Underbelly in the past include: Joan Rivers, Rain Pryor and Courtney Act.
About Robin Rayner Productions - Robin Rayner is an experienced producer at the Fringe. He has produced FABRIC, which not only won The Scotsman Fringe First Award, but also ventured out on a UK Tour. In 2016 he produced comedy Foiled which was named five star Pick of the Fringe in The Stage, going on to become a radio series for BBC Radio2. He also produced the Fringe hit Our Friends, The Enemy which transferred to New York in 2015.
About Joe’s Pub at The Public - Joe's Pub in NYC presents the best in live music and performance nightly, continuing its commitment to diversity, production values, community and artistic freedom. Joe's Pub presents talent from all over the world and commissioned artists have included Ethan Lipton, Toshi Reagon, Bridget Everett, Allen Toussaint and more.

Whilst this is a wonderful chance to further my career and create incredible future opportunities, I’m not able to financially make this happen on my own. I hope you will help me make this dream a reality!
With a goal of £15,000 we will be able to cover the cost of:
- Flights for Tori to and from Edinburgh
- Festival Fees
- Venue Rental Fee
- Accommodation for a month in Edinburgh
- Musician Fees and Instrument Rentals
- Set and Costumes
- Sound and Lighting
If we are able to exceed that goal, we can begin to put money towards marketing and advertising to ensure that we are making our presence known! There are upwards of 3000 shows at the Fringe so we will undoubtedly need all the help we can to get noticed!

In return for your support, I will be sure to take you on this journey to Edinburgh with me. I’ll send you a postcard while I’m over in Scotland or you can get a signed poster; I’ll update you on my adventure in a weekly video diary or I’ll even send you a link to a private vimeo account to watch my opening night performance! I want you to experience this with me because none of it will be possible without YOU!

Thank you for reading, for watching, for supporting and for sharing. Thank you for believing in this project and what I hope to accomplish. I look forward to updating you on the progress of this campaign and I hope you will share with your friends.
With love,
Tori
Risks and challenges
This is my first crowdfunding campaign and I have worked hard to provide rewards that I know I can fulfil in a timely manner. Robin Rayner has managed projects like this in the past and will be working with me throughout. We are both prepared to take on the challenges ahead of us and are incredibly excited to make this dream a reality.
I'm aware that the amount I need to raise is a large number and while it seems daunting, I am certain it is possible. If for whatever reason I don't reach this goal, it will be much more challenging to bring my show to Edinburgh. I can't do this without your help.
