Wow! We are overwhelmed with your support. We have hit or target in under 3 days, which is truly amazing you are superstars. Diloch, Diolch, Diolch!
We still need your help, £250 was the bare minimum we needed to make The Busker, ever extra pound pledged will help us make the film even better. Better production values, better props, better equipment, better post production – you get the idea. Please share with your friends and ask them to pledge anything they can afford - just £1 will mean we can buy an extra prop, and make The Busker… better! The Busker team x
Zac makes his living busking on the streets of Cardiff. He’s not that lucky in love. In fact his love life is a disaster! After seeing the girl of his dreams whilst out busking, he decides, with some encouragement from flat mate Ella to write her a song. What could possibly go wrong?
The Busker is Idge Logan’s second comedy script in production and we need your, yes you, to help us get it the big screen. We need a little bit of money (even £1 will help) to ensure that we can pull off the stunts, yes there are stunts, and feed everyone. The crew are all working for free over the three day shoot and I don’t know about you, but this crew gets very grumpy when hungry. How can we make a romantic comedy if we are all grumpy? Take a look at the rewards – there are some crackers – and pledge what you can. Also please share our project with as many people as possible.
Thank you/Diolch – Idge, James and Lisa
Writer - Idge Logan
Idge Gabriel Logan , is from a small village in the roaming hills of the Swansea valley. His first language is Welsh and he taught himself English by the age of 7 by watching thunder cats cartoons. He was brought up as a farm boy , the days were hard and simple , but he would always dream of so much more and would often escape in to his mind as he had a vivid imagination and it took him to many places where he would be many things. He left school at the age of 16 and dove straight into his first love, music. By the age of 18 he could play several instruments and was lucky enough to havea good voice, so spent many years performing around the UK and other countries around the world. He has composed 3 albums but still hungered for more, more ways to express himself. He tried dance but that didn’t do it, so he put my thoughts and imagination into writing, first of all fantasy children’s books and then progressing into comedy scripts, as he is a very funny man (!) THE BUSKER, a story based on his own experiences in life and music. and it’s a story he feel needs to be told and sheared with the world, In his own words “so here I go , it’s being made, from me to you, enjoy.”
Director - James Evans
In a professional television career spanning over 10 years, I have worked in nearly every angle of the industry. I have helped produce programming for BBC, Sky, ITV and Channel 5, ranging from live OB broadcasts, light entertainment game shows, retail shopping networks and adult-only magazine programming. However it has always been film that has been my mistress. A keen independent film maker, screenwriter and blogger, I have most recently shot two music videos for a local artist launching her debut album later in the year. I am delighted to have been asked to direct this short film. The potential for this screenplay is high and it is the perfect project for me to return to working with some of the most promising new voices in British independent cinema.

Director's Assistant - Luke Seidel-Haas
Luke has recently graduated from the University of South Wales with a first class honour degree in Drama (Theatre & Media). During his time at university he realised that he didn’t want to be an actor after all, and instead wants to direct theatre and film (something to do with enjoying bossing people about). This film will mark his first project behind the camera since finishing university, and he is looking forward to his role assisting the director and learning as much as possible about the process at the same time.
Producer - Lisa Davies
Lisa Davies is studying for an MA in Film Producing at the University of South Wales. 'The Busker' is her Master Project and also the fifth short film she has produced. She has also been selected as one of the Producers for the Made in Wales series 2014, with her short film airing on BBC Wales in October 2014.
Risks and challenges
But mostly Lisa (producer) fails her Masters Degree,
Idge (writer) becomes a recluse and we loose his wit and good looks from the world forever (he made me write that) and
James (Director) falls back into the abyss of shopping channel TV.
All bad. VERY bad.
Seriously, without your support we can not make this film. Everyone is working for free and this money will help us make sure we can have endless supplies of tea and biscuits, and a little bit of budget for stunts, costume and props.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
