Welcome, my Lord, to the cursed kingdom. A land plagued by black magic and creatures that crawl out of the darkness. Once this was a great kingdom. It could be great again. That's all up to you. Enter the world of Royal Heroes - a strategy game set in a world of fantasy and adventure.
Hire an army of legendary heroes and battle vast waves of monsters. Destroy your enemies on the battlefield. Purge all evil from your land. Construct your castle. Craft weapons. Spend your loot wisely. Rule your kingdom.

Royal Heroes is a game coming to OUYA, Windows, Mac, Linux, iOs, and Android (Samsung, Nook, Kindle). It features exploration, discovery, crafting, collecting, army management and real time combat in 'Majesty'(non-direct) style. It’s bound to be at least as enjoyable as potato salad.
Our team has over 60 games under our belts, but this is only our second Pixel-Art game. Originally, we licensed part of the art from Majesty, but we found that had its limitations. Now we are looking to create our own art assets. This will allow us to make the game bigger, better, and more fun than ever!
The heart of this game is its Heroes. Each has his or her own story, different abilities, skills, attacks and equipment. Build a completely different army every time you play! Even identical hero types can have different character traits and skills.
The game is currently in Beta, and is playable with about half of its planned functionality working. We are constantly working on improving it, adding new graphics, content, heroes, and races, as well as fixing bugs and improving gameplay.
However, our biggest challenges are the costs of the art and writing. We are asking backers to help us hit our goal so that we can greatly improve the look and polish of the game, and its story, beyond what we could do on our own, with no help. We want to make this game what it should be.
Some things you’ll be able to do in the game:
- Visit the Tavern - You will find heroes to enlist in your army. Buying a round or two of brew for the whole tavern may help.
- Build a Blacksmith Refinery for a famous Dwarf - Test his claim of 100 recipes for different weapons and armor.
- Restore the Library - Write down your knowledge of new Monsters and their Bosses. Defeat each Boss - Claim every reward.
- Repair the old Barracks for a new Army - You will need more space to accommodate all your heroes and their squads.
- Explore The Map - Over 100 enemy camps are marked for battle. You will find loot and construction materials for your new Castle.
- Crafting - Build new items for your heroes. Discover new weapons and armor by combining loot from spoils of war.
The game is built around non-direct combat. There's no hustle about where to send each of your troops. But as the game progresses, the player will discover spells and abilities to protect his army and wipe out enemies.
Closer to release, we will add new gameplay elements for new and non-typical styles of battle: siege, enemy towers, epic bosses, and something from pledges.
Even though we can accomplish what we need with our funding goal, we have other great ideas for the game that we’d love to implement. Due to this, we’ve included these ideas into stretch goals listed below.

Similar to the support provided to developers through FGL.com, FGL Staff will provide video and written gameplay testing feedback during development to help Elite Games to avoid common game design issues, before they become costly mistakes. After development, FGL will help get Royal Heroes distributed and monetized on as many platforms as possible.
FGL does not receive any of the Kickstarter development fund nor do they claim any ownership rights over Royal Heroes.

Risks and challenges
Developing a high quality game isn't easy. It takes experience, knowledge, effort and time.
At Elite Games, creating games is our passion. We’ve built and released over 60 games, in a variety of genres. Each game has gotten better and better, and already Royal Heroes is our favorite of the bunch - It's playable and fun.
Right now the game is half-built. The basics are set. It's playable, with most of the major content available. But we want to enlarge the scope of what we have now - create a larger world, with more characters and missions. That takes time and money.
We have a plan, a budget, an experienced team, and a finished beta. We already have a dedicated and experienced programmer and have hired professional artists to develop new original content.
There’s always the possibility of hitting bumps along the way, of course. And in those cases, most likely what will be affected is in the timeline that things get finished.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
