About

synopsis

Malaria kills one child every 30 seconds, about 3000 children every day. Over one million people die from malaria each year, mostly children under five years of age, with 90 per cent of malaria cases occurring in Sub-Saharan Africa. Malaria is transmitted by the female anopheles Mosquito and in this episode, the very killer mosquito meets its match: The Praying Man-tis, a superhero who hunts bugs as his villains. This brawl takes place in Africa's biggest urban slum, Kibera, Nairobi Kenya.Your support, however small will be received with open arms and will enable us to complete this project with the aim to spread the anti-mosquito/malaria message around the globe as we advocate for a Malaria free world!!

Who is the Indomitable Praying Man-tis? He is a fictionalized character who happens to be a  Kung fu master and is committed to saving from danger and to defending the helpless against the everyday evils of humanity. From his mysterious and supersonic moves on the skateboard, to his dynamic rescue of the innocence from danger at blinding speed. He is always in a Prayerful stance which is the very source of his divine power shown by arm clasped against his heart and the mystery lies in his unknown religious affiliations.

Where did he originate from? A kid was born on 24:14th Street in the city of Foshan, Guangdong,a province in China and he was named Matthew. A gift from God.After a couple of days, his parents namely Baraka and Amani Lee realized that their child was growing at an abnormal rate and slowly turning into an alien. The were terrified, they panicked and out of fear threw the unusual child in the Pearl River Delta. A couple of days later, an ailing former Kung fu master came knocking on their door wanting to see and bless the new born baby after he had a disturbing dream about a new Kung fu master who have been born in the city. After they told him what had happened,he was shocked and knew that they had indeed thrown away their foretold master of peace who will be born in that city and also save it from evil. After he had calmed down, he narrated to them that their ancestors  namely Kenyanthropus migrated to Asia from the east African tropics about 500,000 years ago and they worshipped the praying mantises because of the believe that they possess divine powers before immigration and western civilization.

Risks and challenges

I have done my best to minimize risks before going into this campaign. At the moment, fine line art of all pages is done, a half of the pages are completely colored and lettered. The inking, coloring as well as lettering process for the rest of the pages is going on and all the challenges that may arise will be the typical situations for a comic book production such as minor delays due to printing or shipping.I have plenty of prior professional experience in managing the production of print and promotional items, and I will be doing my best to ensure that all challenges that may arise are minimized
