About this project
Synopsis: Anton is committed to killing himself until Hannah, his next door neighbor, catches him in the act. She has been down that dark path, and knows exactly how to talk him off the ledge. Their bond spawns romance; a first for Hannah in years because of a crazy ex-boyfriend. The Crazy-ex happens to cross their path on a date, goes berserk, and takes it out on Anton, brutally beating him up in front of onlooking restaurateurs. The Crazy-ex grabs Hannah, throws her in his car, and takes off with an injured Anton in pursuit. Genreful is the story of Anton chasing the one that got away. The film will shift tones, embracing the devices of Drama, Romantic Comedy, Thriller, Action, Horror, Animation, and Sci-Fi, in their identifiable forms, yet tell one cohesive story.
Why you should help us: Tired of seeing the same old film? This project is a film for dreamers. It's wholly original, packed with talented actors getting to strut their stuff in a way they never have before, and a very high concept premise. It's just not the sort of thing that gets a green light, which is why the perfect home for this project is here on Kickstarter. Be involved from the ground up, through production, and be the first to see it once completed.

What is our Kickstarter goal?: We're aiming for $50k on this campaign to cover our basic production (Pre through Post) expenses and ensure we can deliver a film, no different than the quality we are accustomed to in the theater. Oh wait, that is not saying much...okay, we believe we can deliver a superior quality film than most of what is in the theaters right now for our goal. Except it will be less than 20 minutes. If we are fortunate enough to meet, and then even surpass 50K, all the money will go towards increasing the scale of the effects, bigger stunts, a better camera, more elaborate car chase, trick shots, maybe even recording a live score. As anyone who has seen a Michael Bay film knows, explosions can't save a bad film, but they are cool to see!
What if we don't meet out goal?: Well, we don't want to think about that. The idea of making this kind of ambitious project with a community of people backing it from the start is incredible, and just makes sense. At this point we just can't see it any other way.
