About this project
Click below to see/hear a medley from our first showcase back in December 2010, more to come from more recent showcases with full casts! And look who we have below! Anita Gillette ( Moonstruck, 30 Rock, Modern Family, numerous Broadway), George Lee Andrews ( Original A Little Night Music, The Phantom of the Opera, and recent Evita).
Kimilee, Jarlath, and Emilio have been working on this piece for over two years and Jarlath and Emilio for even longer. It takes an awful lot to get a show produced, especially in NYC! Previously known as Salute a Tutti which means "Health to all" certainly does represent the story, however, in working on the piece, we decided on Miracolo . The story takes place on an island called "Miracolo" where, at a beautiful spa many miracles take place (including true love) and also in Roma in a hospital and surrounding piazzas where miracles can also happen.
I (Kimilee) talked a little (in the video) about what we need to move on in our journey to produce the show, but here's a partial list:
Actors Equity Reading :
fees to AEA, actor salaries, director fees, music director and staff fees, stage managers, production assistants, and venue rental
Demo (Concept Album)
studio time, engineers, mixing, mastering, talent, reproduction of CDs artwork for CD
office supplies, paper, ink, postage, etc
video editing, PR, and other fees
Just think, one day we could be thanking all of you at the Tony Awards!
You can read about Kimilee on the next page, but here's a bit about Jarlath and Emilio
When other kids were blaring rock music, Jarlath Jacobs was blaring Sondheim. Later when she became an advertising copywriter at New York agencies, she morphed into a jingle lyricist. Her many clients included: Clairol, Coppertone, Avon, Showtime, Vogue, Self and Vanity Fair Magazines. But lyrics kept calling to her and soon she joined the BMI and New School Musical Theater Workshops. It has long been her passion to explore the spiritual world of manifesting realities and MIRACOLO is the sum of her findings in the magical realm of believing in miracles.
Emilio has worked as a free-lance arranger/composer and producer for a large number of projects, including singers, other jazz musicians, theatre, dance, and short movies. Some of his last works included arranging and recording with Paquito D’Rivera, arranging and conducting Arturo O’Farrill’s Latin Big Band at Lincoln Center and the whole production of last Xavier Casellas release. He is also the composer of Miracolo, the Musical. You are welcome to check samples of some of this works below.
During the last few years, Emilio has also been diving deeper into the solo piano waters, and has been performing solo in different venues in Europe and the States, combining his own tunes with a selection of tangos and folk tunes from Argentinean traditional repertoire.
Risks and challenges
Scheduling is always a challenge with actors, musicians, venues, etc, and then you never know what nature may have in store ( especially the last few years in our area of the world). That said, we are hoping to have these things accomplished by the end of January 2014! It may take time for AEA permits, etc, but we plan to make this our priority, the world needs and uplifting, happy musical!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
