If you enjoy very long, continuous lines that form hidden images and amusing doodles, ONE MILE LINE is for you.
ONE MILE LINE is a gigantic poster-book that consists of a single, unbroken line that makes an infinitude of patterns and 100+ images of fun stuff.
You'll laugh, you'll cry, but mostly you'll laugh, as you get lost in this remarkable maze of delight. You can also color it in.
The entire drawing is made up of only ONE LINE . . . and it's a MILE LONG.
WHY SHOULD I SUPPORT THIS PROJECT?
Because you and your friends will enjoy and explore and laugh about and have fun with ONE MILE LINE for hours and hours.
And you'll get your copy of ONE MILE LINE in time for Christmas.
And it's cheap. If we hit our funding goal, we expect to retail ONE MILE LINE for $18. On Kickstarter, we're selling ONE MILE LINE for $14, and even cheaper if you get two.
WHO MADE THIS?
Ana-Gabriela Stroe drew the line. It took her about six weeks. She retained her sanity and her good humor. Ana is an illustrator based in Denmark.
Adam Farbiarz conceived of the project and figured out how to produce it. Adam is a designer based in Brooklyn. He runs DearAdamObjects.com. His last Kickstarter campaign was for a deck of illustrated puzzle playing cards.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS?
The line is exactly one mile long.
HOW DO YOU KNOW IT'S A MILE?
The line was drawn by hand in Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator measures lines to within less than a quarter of an inch. Our LINE is precisely ONE MILE.
ONE MILE LINE will be printed on heavyweight (140 GSM) archival, woodfree paper. It will be packaged in a glossy artpaper envelope.
Folded in the envelope, it measures 13.5 inches by 10 inches. Unfurled, as a poster, it's 13.5 inches by 22.5 feet.
ONE MILE LINE is not only an extraordinary feat of drawing, it's also an incredible printing accomplishment. It will be printed by one of the world's leading paper-engineering shops.
Adam Douglas Thompson, fount of aesthetic wisdom.
Aysu Farbiarz, for her enormous creativity, insight, support, humor and love.
Risks and challenges
