Moving into final production
It's been a while since the last update, apologies for the radio silence. We have been busy finishing the second full prototype of the game, which we are now playtesting for final balancing - you can see a snapshot of this above. :)
The new prototype includes a new rulebook, which you can download a full PDF of here - feel free to comment on it directly in the Dropbox web interface or here in the comments. Note that final proofing is not done on this PDF.
In other news, we are now working with the factory on final production. The thing that takes the longest to manufacture are the miniatures, so that's already underway. Below, you can see some schematics of the minis (note that colors are not the correct ones), and also some images from the factory detailing how the components will be positioned in the box (which has grown from 70 mm thick to 100 mm to make room for everything).
Playtesting and final production is taking a little longer than planned, so shipping will likely be delayed to December or January. We apologize for this delay, and hope for your understanding that it's all due to our ambition to make Crusader Kings - The Board Game the best game it can possibly be.
Finally - the Essen Spiel board game convention in Germany is approaching quickly, and there we will for the first time demo the final prototype of Crusader Kings - The Board Game. Look for us at the Paradox Interactive booth (5A104). Hope to see many of you there! We are live on the GeekPreview list for this year's Essen, and if you want to give the game a "thumbs up" and a "must have" or "interested" rating, it would be much appreciated!
