The Bingle Bus is going to be the first of its kind- a mobile audio/video podcast. Our last podcast Talkin' Shit has been running for over 3.5 years and 350 episodes. It grew to being one of the most popular podcasts on the internet with a worldwide audience of over 125,000 subscribers. Over 150 celebrities, comedians, actors, and other entertainers have been guests on the show such as Bob Saget, Steve-O, Tommy Chong, Ty Pennington, Nick Swardson, Jay Mohr, Marc Maron, Brad Garrett and Ron Jeremy.
One of the most difficult parts of pulling off the podcast is booking guests. With the advent of a mobile studio, we will be able to take the podcast to the guests. We will also be able to take the podcast to different events, shows, festivals, etc. Doing a podcast for the last 3.5 years, has been an amazing experience because one of the greatest pleasures is that we don't have a studio or executives telling us what we can and can't say. We get to create the kind of comedy that we want to do without censorship a consensus or mandate. The only producers are the fans themselves. We would love to be able to fund this through advertising but that doesn't seem possible. There are many expenses for the mobile studio such as the bus, audio and video equipment, electricity, parking, gas, insurance, repairs, licenses and permits. We want to continue providing you with a hilarious podcast every week. The only way we know how to do this is with your help.
Risks and challenges
Making a studio mobile will be challenging because even though the studio is mobile, it still needs to have great audio and video which requires a lot of power. Power will be challenging as generators can be loud and running off of battery power can be touchy. We also need plenty of air conditioning and comfortable seating for guests.
In addition, our employees require compensation for the work of filming, recording, editing and other production work. For the last 3.5 years, they have worked tirelessly for ridiculously low to no wages.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
