The past 7 months working with you have been exhausting, but worth it. Thank you for your patience and appreciation. I'm personally sorry about logistical errors, electrical problems with the lamp, and flaws in design. FYI for those with electrical issues, just power it off a battery. It will also be affected by humidity and temperature. We didn't account for these due to time constraints. Also, I'd advise not uppercutting it. The bottom is sensitive to cracking due to the glue joint between the circuit board and the plastic. Finally, if you shoot the bottom with a Nerf gun, it will turn on and off. Have fun : )
Right now we are almost sold out of the lamps and stands, but we have about 300-400 more lamps. We also have about 20 individual stands.
I'm reserving the lamps + stands to give away to companies that I think are great. I've listed them as sold out on our website. If you have a good recommendation for a company, please send me an email at email@example.com, but try not to flood my inbox. Thanks.
Currently, 8-Bit Lit is out of my hands. I've hired a great team to take care of it for the time being. I promise you we will upgrade the lamp and manufacture again.
The connected lamp is a lower priority, but I'll make it happen eventually. Anyone who wants to do it, start with our Instructables for the lamp. Good luck.
You are all individually some of the most wonderful people I've met. It's been a pleasure working with you.
I recently joined a company called Dragon Innovations. If you're interested in how most of the crowdfunded products get made, look them up.
My primary responsibility is meeting with people who are interested in working with Dragon, and determining if they're a good fit for the company.
My secondary responsibility is to help people crowdfund/message/design/prototype/launch.
I will personally help anyone on any platform (Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Selfstarter, Fundable, When You Wish, Credibles, KissKissBankBank, Angel List, etc.)
However, if you are looking to launch, I will help you more if you are prepared. If it's just an early idea, I will likely only offer a brief phone call to help you get started.
You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or sign up on Dragon's home page. Once again, I'm new to the job, so please don't flood my inbox.
If you ever need anything, and I mean that, call me at (617) 470-3313. It's also on the packaging to the box that your lamps arrived in.
It's been a pleasure.
