New Rewards / Friends of SCALE Game Pack

We’re exceptionally pleased to announce that we’ve added bonus games in the form of GAME PACKS at two (2) new reward tiers! Now you can select a $15 dollar tier (“SCALE + Inputting Edition”) which includes SCALE and a copy of Steve’s game, Inputting, which was previously only available in the LA GAME SPACE Game Pack. At the new $20 tier (“SCALE + Friends of Scale Pack”), you’ll get SCALE, Inputting, and STEAM KEYS for four additional, incredible, award-winning games by friends and members of CubeHeart: Noitu Love 2, Electronic Super Joy, Incredipede, and Osmos.

AMA this Wednesday

Also, if you’re a redditor, CubeHeart will be doing an AMA this Wednesday at 1 PM Pacific time in /r/gaming. The majority of the team will be there, including SCALE’s voice talent (Ashly Burch & Sarah Elmaleh) and composers (Ben Prunty and DannyB)!

Funding Update & THANK YOU!

Finally, thank you everyone who has backed for helping us maintain our strong momentum over the weekend and for getting us to 40% of our funding goal! As of this post we’re now juuust shy of 50% funded, so please keep spreading the word about SCALE. Twitter has been our number one source of pledges, so all of your tweets and retweets are making a huge impact! We’ve been updating the SCALE Facebook Page with a lot of the great press coverage we’ve been receiving, so be sure to follow us there, too!

Thank you for all your support and great feedback! We couldn’t be doing this without you!

Maybe a noise or sound when you point to a scalable object for longer than half a second or so? Would probably become annoying very fast, but maybe something to try. Just brainstorming out loud.

Does this new $20 tier include the soundtrack? I signed up for the $15 tier with soundtrack.

Also, is the 4 bundle games also delivered for the 25$ tier and up rewards or only is tied in the 20$?

good point @Ian! I even didn't think about it!

These in-game narrated updates are really really really wonderful and enjoyable.

Mist narrative based solutions for this are cheap (and potentially even compelling), but still leave you with players discovering a new object doesn't scale due to failure, rather than establishing a rule that they can learn and apply. Maybe there's a certain chemical that was developed in response to the disaster, and it's designed to cause feedback that makes the gun shudder and spark. Objects treated this way would have some consistent visual treatment.
