...and it's only just beginning!
I'm incredibly thrilled to bring you my newest project directly, and independently, through Kickstarter. This is gourmet listening material, brought to you by the most talented team I've ever assembled. I made certain every note and frequency of this recording sparkles and thumps like some monumental monster movie. Personally, the last three years of my life were like being stranded on an exploding space station in a some midnight movie, and the only way to survive was to learn that there's a difference between difficult and impossible. This album is the document forged in rock
... AND ...the cover looks like THIS:
The artwork above was drawn by artist Aaron Leonard Gall and colorized by graphic designer, Matt Kamilar. Here's a lyric video of the title track you won't find anywhere but on this page...
Here's the true account of facing my deepest fears, amid great despair, and forging the courage to overpower them through the power of music. It's a record bleeding with quivering synthesizers, frantic drums, and melting tape echo guitars. The sounds reflect the lyrics reflect the story reflect my heart.
AND NOW THE REWARDS!
One of the coolest parts of all of this is right here: EVERYONE who invests in any reward at any level gets a digital download of the record before the official release in early 2016. I've always followed the steadfast rule of putting in 150% of my heart and energy into any project I commit to, and I think you'll find these rewards vary from super fun to super personal. There's lots to choose from. Also, feel free to you use the "OR MORE" feature when choosing any one of these rewards. My gratefulness has no limits either.
On the wall to the right you can see this massive list of reward options like an album T-shirt or exclusive poster (you can do both) we've got everything from "Bowling with Mallman" (me) to a 40+ song, 4 CD set of unreleased material.
WOAH you can get one of my custom made stage coats, even the famed "Mr. Serious" jacket from Marathon 3, and countless dive bar stages across this great land.
NEW END OF CAMPAIGN REWARDS:
3 new rewards have been added as of NOV 25: MINI GOLF WITH MALLMAN, The Master CD of "HOW I LOST MY LIFE AND LIVED TO TELL ABOUT IT (REMASTER PRESSING)" and this super cool MINNEAPOLIS 3D JUMPSUIT:
....but wait there's more....!!!!!
IT GET'S CRAZIER/FUNNER
My big hope is that we can achieve double or even triple this goal, which would mean more videos made, more tours toured, and more fans made through publicity and advertising. That being said, I've created some higher tier rewards for those of you who really want to support my cause of preserving rock and roll for our children and our children's robot children and alien half breeds. I'm grateful for every dollar that comes into this campaign, big or small or really really really big that's fun too.
Here's a nice spreadsheet I prepared that shows how the rewards fill out so you get an idea of what you'll be getting when you get the stuff. (JUMP SUIT, MASTER RECORDING, and MINI GOLF not shown but all are + T-shirt + CD, + digital download)
There comes a point when a musician realizes, "I did not choose music for my job, music chose me." After all the many miles I put one those ivories paying my dues over seventeen years, I'm ready for more action. I can't wait for you to hear this music. If you are new to what I do, or a long time fan, get ready for a Mallman classic... "The End Is Not The End"
Special thanks to Sam Thompson, Wilson Webb, Ian Rans for shooting videos, Ed Ackerson for co-starring, photography by Darin Kamnetz, and Erik Hess, drawings by Aaron Leonard Gall.
Risks and challenges
As many of you know, it takes sacrifice and hustle to make a go of it in showbiz, let alone to make an art of it. "The End Is Not The End" is not only metaphysical, but a literal commitment. I been chasing the music dragon for so long, that now it's chasing me. Together, we can feed it. But once we succeed, that's only the beginning for me. I anticipate a full year (at the least) of shows and videos and promotion behind this album, after all even after the Kickstarter, "The End is Not The End"Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
