Be a part of the rockabilly-fueled post-apocalyptic animated madness of STICKY FINGERS: THE MOVIE!
THESE 'TOONS NEED YOU!
Rockabilly rebels Guy and Girl ride, love, and murder their way through a post-apocalyptic wasteland in search of the last movie theater on the planet. Full of sex, violence, and warped comedy, fueled by the music of Dangerville!
In the grand tradition of Heavy Metal(1981), MTV's Liquid Television, and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim lineup, STICKY FINGERS: THE MOVIE is the world's first post-apocalyptic rockabilly animated action/comedy! Or to be more accurate, it will be, with your help.
This film is the first animated feature every produced in West Michigan, independently of any major studio backing!
STICKY FINGERS: THE MOVIE will feature the most eccentric all-star voice cast of all-time! Actors on board so far include:
Football legend & action hero FRED "THE HAMMER" WILLIAMSON has recorded his role as "Boss!"
Troma Entertainment Head Honcho & Icon of Independent Film LLOYD KAUFMAN has recorded his role as "Prisoner #666!"
Cult independent director JOSH BECKER (Thou Shalt Not Kill...Except, Running Time, Alien Apocalypse, Xena: Warrior Princess, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys) has recorded his role as "Hippie Leader!"
Internationally infamous actress/director/singer ASIA ARGENTO will soon record her role as the mysterious high priestess "Nyx!"
We are going after 2 more name actors whose identities will be kept semi-mysterious. But they have featured prominently in such films as THE HUDSUCKER PROXY, HALLOWEEN, and TANK GIRL.
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Making an animated film independently is a huge undertaking. Luckily, it costs more in time than it does in coin. But some funding is still necessary.
$25,000 is the minimum needed to make this project happen in 2013.
Production funds will go towards:
Salaries & Expenses for the Celebrity Guest Voices- these folks cost some serious $$$, but what they will bring to the film in terms of talent and name recognition is more than worth it. Distributors look for familiar names; it's one of the biggest factors in actually getting a film sold.
Voiceover Recording - professional studio recording time isn't cheap. With 30+ speaking roles involved, it starts adding up fast.
CGI Animation- To add to the production value ofthe movie, our CGI animator will create complex landscapes and vehicles. The better the film looks, the more likely it is that a distributor will have interest. Our CGI animator is a professional, and his time costs money.
Musical Score - Bad music can kill a film just as quickly as overall bad audio. Our composer knows his stuff, but he's got to earn a living like the rest of us and will need some compensation for his time.
Post-Production Sound Mix -back to the studio for the all-important final sound mix of the film. A good audio mix is incredibly important to any film.
Production Legal Fees - lawyers ain't cheap either. But they're an essential part of any professional film and extremely valuable members of the production team.
DVD Duplication, Festival Entry fees, Promotions - The work and expenses don't end once the film is complete. Donations will aid with the expenses of mastering a top-notch special edition DVD & Blu-Ray release, the cost of entering the film into national and international film festivals, promotions, and sending out materials to potential distributors.
If this fundraiser hits its goal, STICKY FINGERS: THE MOVIE will be completed by October- just in time to hit the American Film Market in November to seek a distributor. If we raise even more than that, it may happen even faster!
If the goal is not reached, production will still continue. But without the influx of funds, the movie will likely not surface until late 2014- so we'd like to keep momentum going on the film so the world can see it that much sooner!
Spread the word. Plaster the link to this page on Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, anywhere and everywhere. Ask your friends, foes, family, random strangers, etc. to chip in and make this film happen!
Thanks so much!
