What are Black Fontaines?
Fontaines are a deck of cards I designed one night in photoshop for fun. I made one prototype deck, started using it in my videos, and people couldn't stop asking to buy them!
I made an indiegogo campaign for the Red Fontaines on Feb 15, 2013. Within 18 hours, we met our $10,000 goal. Before the end of the month, we made over $21k. The Red Fontaines sold out.
The original Red Fontaines now go for $50-60 EACH. I wish I would've kept more!
In December of 2013, I launched the Blue Fontaines right here on Kickstarter. I cleared my goal of $20k in 12 hours, and raised $67,390 at the campaigns end.
The Blue Fontaines sold out on our website in November. Already they are going for DOUBLE what I sold them for!
Ever since that first Fontaine deck was released, I've been asked CONSTANTLY by hundreds of people around the globe begging for a black edition of Fontaines.
The Fontaine brand has grown into something I could have never imagined. It's gone from a simple back design to my own full-blown company, FontaineCards.com
Fontaine Cards has now produced and shipped over 17,000 decks of Fontaines, both blue and red, we've released our first full-length documentary and magic DVD 'Biz x Zach take EUROPE', and we are debuting our first ever Fontaine Cards Pop-up Shop in Las Vegas at SkillCon, Dec 28, 29 and 30.
With your help, the Fontaine Cards has become my full-time job. I want to keep making awesome products, content and cool stuff. The Black Fontaines are the next step in that journey :)
The Black Fontaines are available RIGHT NOW - with YOUR HELP! We are trying to printing 5,000 decks and we need $20,000 to do that. If we raise more money, we'll make more decks!
Fontaines started with just a back design. Now, every deck will come printed on classic bicycle stock with linen finish, perfect for cardists and magicians alike.
The Ace of Spaces is simple, streamlined and elegant, featuring the Fontaine box logo running through the center of the Spade.
The Jokers also sport the blue box logo with the fontaine F for pips. A Blank Faced card is included for magicians - to use in various effects. Seal? You mean the lint magnets and tuck box killers of the world? No seal, my friend. Not today.
The Box has a utility device for magicians built right into the design. My friend Michael Stern and I developed a concept called The Vintage Holdout that is a slight alteration you make to a card box that opens the doors to TONS of amazing tricks - the downside is it only works with these Vintage Series bicycle decks. Until now. I built the same method right into the box design. Learn it here.
In additional to decks on decks, we also have hoodies, shirts, bricks, uncut sheets, card clips and more.

Every perk on the campaign includes free shipping within the USA, so if that $12 price tag on one deck scares you, realize that it's going to cost me anywhere from $3-5 to ship that one deck in an envelope to your doorstep. And also the price of the envelope. That's included if you live in the USA.
If you're thinking $12 bucks even with shipping is still a lot, I agree. The more decks you buy, the cheaper the price, so get your costco mentality and buy in bulk. Or don't. It's really up to you.
This is a fixed funding campaign, meaning if you purchase any of our perks and we don't reach our goal of $20,000 within 30 days - you will get your money back! :D
Let's get real. Mail sucks. International mail? Don't get me started. Some bricks cost me $75 to send!! So the international prices are averaged. Sorry if they are a bit pricey - mail is lame.
Risks and challenges
I'm only one guy, but the Fontaine Brand is my baby, and I'm a very hard worker. Last time, I shipped out over 1,000 packages on my own in around a two month period - literally every parcel packaged by hand by me, including replacement package.
Once I launched my website FontaineCards.com in September, I partnered with Art of Play to ship all orders. They are quick, they are efficient, and they only ship decks of cards - they know their stuff, and will care for your Fontaines more than any other fulfillment company would.
Please be patient, as the US Playing Card Company can sometimes have delayed and bumps in the road. While it isn't hugely likely, we've dealt with some of this in the past, and want to give you a heads up just in case.
I want you to have these decks even more than you do! Thanks for your support!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
