About

Hi, my name is Jody and I'd like your help realizing my vision of creating a glow-in-the-dark, limited edition robot poster. Normally, when the light goes out, so does your art. Why enjoy your art only when the lights are on?

I enjoy comic books, science fiction, World War II propaganda poster art and robots. For this print I decided to combine all of those interests. Add in some silver ink and three layers of glow ink and ka-boom! This robot is looking for a good home.

These posters will be beautifully screen printed on thick (110 lb cover stock) acid free paper made by the French Paper Company. And I thought these should be big enough to capture all the detail, so 24" x 36" was a perfect fit. But why stop there when we can max out French Paper's sheet size and print them at 40" x 58"? It's three times the fun! You will love this size in person. Each print will also be signed and numbered and shipped to your door free of charge within the United States. A little extra and they will ship to you internationally.

For those anti-glow folks out there (or if you just have limited wall space) there is the non-glow, 12" x 18" giclee print option. These will also be signed, but not numbered.

Based on this project's success, there may be more retro robot prints to follow as I've already begun sketching additional ideas for a possible series.

If the amounts above are reached, the items listed will be included in your shipment for free.

Risks and challenges

Printing will be handled by a very talented screen printer and won't begin until after the project is fully funded. Expect prints to start shipping 6-8 weeks after the end date (based on the amount of prints pledged for). I hope to surprise you with an earlier ship date, but want to be realistic about possible delays. In any event, your prints will arrive by the holidays.

After funding you'll be emailed a link to fill out your shipping address. If you anticipate moving in the months following funding, I'd suggest filling in a more reliable address. In such an event, have the print mailed to a good friend, a parent or to your work address to ensure delivery in a timely manner and to avoid any confusion about where to mail the print. If your address does change unexpectedly, don't worry, just let me know and I'll be sure your glow-bot print makes it's way to you.

International shippers: I'll admit I don't always understand each country's mailing address format. Please fill the form out so your name and address are written exactly as they should appear on the label. This will ensure a timely delivery and that no world traveling poster tubes are returned on my doorstep looking all sad and dejected! :)
