Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My. Goodness. I cannot believe what has just happened! You guys have funded us in such a short amount of time! We’re funded! I’m in a ridiculous mix of agitation, incredulity and absolute gratitude. Thanks so much to everyone who helped us through our amazing first days! Again, never in our wildest dreams did we expect anything close to the kind of support that we’ve received, but now that we have it, we’ll do everything we can to live up to your expectations!

We were also Greenlit yesterday—we expected that to take months to get through. Unbelievable! But thanks again to everyone who managed to make it over to the page and cast their vote before we got the go-ahead!
I hope you’re not tired already of hearing us say this, but we can’t stop saying thank you for helping us solidify the future of this project! I personally completely indebted to you.

Stretch Goals

We’re hard at work right now lining up our first set of stretch goals to get them to you as soon as possible. After listening to some of your comments, we’re making goals that include additional game content like challenge dungeons, additional game modes like new game+, and perhaps even upgrading part of the game’s soundtrack to use real instruments! Of course, we’re also working on porting the game to other platforms. We’re trying to make exciting and worthwhile stretch goals for you, but at the same time we want to avoid jeopardizing the game itself by bloating our goals.

Let us know if there are any stretch goals in particular that you want to see in the comments below!

To hold you over until the stretch goals officially go up, we hope to give you a further peek into the game's musical soundtrack (done by the incredibly talented Jonathan Geer). This is exactly the sound that's taking place inside our heads:

If no play button shows above, just click on the black bar.

Again, thank you, thank you!

Me encantaría verlo en Vita, es mi plataforma favorita para este tipo de títulos, de nuevo muchas felicidades.

    2. Creator Indie Zok on April 18, 2014

Congrats! Fingers crossed for a Linux port stretch goal.

    3. Creator offensivfoul on April 18, 2014

Wii U would be incredible... Shovel Knight for example got great support from the community and as it is told from Nintendo itself...

    4. Creator Daniel on April 18, 2014

Not to brag, but I have every console. I would have to say I love the PS Vita, and it's a game console starving for more good games. (slim pickings) Therefore, I would like to cast my vote for the PS Vita, if any. I love the concept of your game and I was hoping for a metroidvania in this setting to be made my someone, anyone. I hope you and your team can! Good luck and make us backers proud! :)

    5. Creator Daniel Brown on April 17, 2014

      What DeafTard said. Wii U!

    6. Creator DeafTard on April 17, 2014

      Wii U! Wii U! Wii U! Wii U! Wii U! Wii U! Wii U! Wii U! Wii U!

    7. Creator Simon-Felix Pageau on April 17, 2014

I am going to add myself to the ones wishing for a Vita version. Thanks and congratulations for your success.

    8. Creator Joshua DeSimone on April 17, 2014

      Stretch Goals I'd like:

-Release on PSN or Vita with Trophies
-As many sidequests as you can fit in it
-As much customization in the leveling structure as possible

There really isn't much I see that I would want added beyond that. Pretty much just give us as much of what you've already been doing as possible. The main thing I'd love is a version for the Vita as well(I'm a bit of a trophy whore). It's just the perfect platform for a game like this. Look at how well Guacamelee did on it =D I

    9. Creator Todor Imreorov on April 17, 2014

      linux version on steamOS :)

    10. Creator Jake Cline on April 17, 2014

      Stretch goals I would like:
-Costumes (perhaps some could provide powers like a double jump or such. But just cosmetic is fine too)
-Alternate/Multiple endings based off of choices made throughout the game
-Hard sidequests for slightly OP gear
      -Achievements
      -Talent/skill tree

    11. Creator Michael Mc on April 17, 2014

      Congratulations !!

    12. Creator Sauraen on April 17, 2014

Linux stretch goal would be great--this would be a nice showcase title for the Steambox. Live orchestra would also be nice!
A very brief statistical analysis shows that there's a good chance you will beat your goal by ten times, and you might even make $1 million! Good luck!

    13. Creator Jimmy Tran on April 17, 2014

I would love a stretch goal for multiple endings like chrono trigger (one if my favourite games) :)

    14. Creator Corin McGregor on April 17, 2014

How about some end-game optional dungeons that are super high difficulty? Something like the trials from the Paper Mario series.

    15. Creator Richard Stuckey on April 17, 2014

Oh yes, vita would be THE best platform!!!

    16. Creator Richard Stuckey on April 17, 2014

      New game +!

    17. Creator Neo on April 17, 2014

I vote for Linux version as a first stretch goal! :)

    18. Creator Robert B. Healy III on April 17, 2014

Throwing my support towards a Vita port as well! :D

    19. Creator Chris Loring on April 17, 2014

Congrats! I kinda hopped on the bandwagon a little late, but it looks like a great game in the making! As for a stretch goal, I'd love to see a 3DS port. This game would be amazing on-the-go

    20. Creator Tracey Craig on April 17, 2014

Wouldn't say no to PS4 version either !

    21. Creator Tracey Craig on April 17, 2014

PSVita Pretty please with sugar and cherries on top :)

    22. Creator M.Bozo on April 17, 2014

I agree with a lot of people : a new game+ would be nice.
If it allow to see the story from a different viewpoint or add additionnal elements or paths and story forks that cannot be reached in the first playthrough it would be even better (a simple replay with end-game character and stuff would be falling short I think).

    23. Creator Lukas Daniel Klausner on April 17, 2014

Please do Linux as a very early stretch goal. ;)

    24. Creator Mihail Miki Cristescu on April 17, 2014

A 3DS port could also be nice :p?
Maybe as a stretch goal you could add different characters to play through?

    25. Creator Jose Maria Molinero Escartin on April 17, 2014

      Congrats :)

I'd like also procedural content as previous poster said. Also, character housing would be nice. And maybe, extend the crafting idea a bit more... :)

      Again, congrats!

    26. Creator Alessandro Maniscalco on April 17, 2014

I would love to play this on my Vita!!! Also, I don't if it could or would be worked in considering the story, but I'm particularly keen on alternate weapon options besides a whip.

    27. Creator Mark Gottlieb on April 17, 2014

You know... a lot of games of this sort have experimented successfully with procedural content (IE Rogue Legacy). I'd LOVE some kind of endless dungeon/zone for gear grinding, level'ing up, etc... Maybe add a bunch of "exclusive" items to that zone's loot table to encourage time spent in there. Plus, it would dove-tail nicely into the NewGame+ concept.

    28. Creator Joshua Michael French on April 17, 2014

I, too, want Vita support above all else. Strange that the Vita has become such an indie machine, but I couldn't be happier with that.

Visual customization of some sort for Alicia would also be great, even if it was just the ability to change her color palette for a 2 or 3 different sprite sets.

Character housing, weather effects, day-night cycle, familiars/pets, multiple story paths and endings, and flexible skill progression are all important to me, and it sounds like much of this is being included in some way. For anything that's not, I'd be interested in stretch goals that would check all these features off of my wishlist.

    29. Creator Javier Vera on April 17, 2014

Definitely a Wii U port Stretch Goal. Hopefully not too high.

    30. Creator Thousandone (1001) on April 17, 2014

I like to see more challenging dungeon, live orchestra music and additional game mode too.

maybe do a special boss dungeon

      and also Boss only stage
-for this, either player stat is fixed, even skill, so it is always challenging to kill these bosses,
-or on the other hand, is base on what we obtain, the stronger we are, the easier to kill the bosses
(but I prefer the fixed one thou)

Love to see more different, new, interesting gameplay

    31. Creator Chris Anglin on April 17, 2014

Congrats on the greenlight and being fully funded so quickly.

I'd love to see a secret character added for people that have beaten the game. Hopefully with a completely different playstyle.

Also, steam achievements would be awesome.

    32. Creator Geoff Bell on April 17, 2014

Clearly my preferred stretch goal is a popular one already (PS Vita) but I'm gonna chime in support for it too.

    33. Creator Joe Sharp on April 17, 2014

I would love to see the game on Xbox One. Metroidvanias are made for the living room

    34. Creator Peter Walker on April 17, 2014

OS X and gamepad support would be awesome.

    35. Creator Brendon FitzGerald on April 17, 2014

Seeing the game on PS4 and Xbox One would be a really great goal. Also, New game + would be a great way to extend play. As for additional ideas, I am curious what you always wanted to include, but didn't think you would have the time/money to get into the game.

    36. Creator mfagerstrom on April 17, 2014

      erm, crossbuy.

    37. Creator mfagerstrom on April 17, 2014

      I'd love a crossplay PS4/PS3/PSVita port.

    38. Creator Seth Brady on April 17, 2014

So glad this was funded quickly. I would love to see a PS4/PS Vita version as a stretch goal.

    39. Creator Protoman Red Bomber on April 17, 2014

Make a special mode that we can play as Alicia's friend, Höstra, and/or that blondie cute wizard running on your "team" topic gift (https://s3.amazonaws.com/ksr/assets/001/837/666/cbe81fe6a0599046693062c44afe4fb0_large.gif… ).

      :D

    40. Creator Julian Elwood on April 17, 2014

Stretch goal of faster development time? :P

    41. Creator Patrick Kennedy on April 17, 2014

I think you were the only one concerned about reaching the goal XD We all knew it was going to happen almost instantly ;) Congrats!

As for stretch-goals: Kiiiinda really want stickers for this (re-stickable if possible?). I'm more used to projects for physical products where add-ons can just be tossed into the package, so I don't know how much extra overhead that would add, but I'd put them on everything.

I don't know enough about the game/story to really make suggestions for things like... bonus levels. Maybe some sort of challenge DLC pack to be released sometime later?

    42. Creator Ben Coff on April 17, 2014

"D:"? You don't seem so unhappy to me! But I'm glad!

    43. Creator JusticeBolt on April 17, 2014

      PS4 version please!

    44. Creator Nosgoroth on April 17, 2014

Congratulations! Rooting for a Vita version here. Sony is usually very helpful in giving a hand to indies, talk to Shahid! (@shahidkamal)

    45. Creator Cy Passley on April 17, 2014

Would love to see a PS Vita and PS4 version!

    46. Creator Manoko on April 17, 2014

      Amazing, well deserved funding !
Hope we can have a PS Vita version, would be phenomenal to play this game on it. :-)

    47. Creator Bouserthedog on April 17, 2014

Glad to have helped out in some way. I sure with the best o' luck to you and the team.

    48. Creator Odd-Arne Andreassen on April 17, 2014

Game looks amazing, happy to back it. Good luck!
