I want to do this movie because I love movies and want to be a paid director someday. Plus, it is a great summer homeschool project with my friends. My inspiration for making a film of my own was from the movie Super 8 where I saw kids making a zombie movie. I wanted to be a real kid making a real zombie movie.
I have finished writing the script, gotten some props, the main idea, people to play the parts, and started rehearsing. The big barrier that I need your help with is having a movie camera to use, some of the props I need to buy and supplies for marketing.
Besides kickstarter, I am doing an organic fresh lemonade stand throughout the summer and saving money from my allowance and extra jobs to pay for the movie production.
Check on Saturdays for the best lemonade stand on Willow Street. A buck a cup. Like me on Facebook and I'll post when the stand is open.
Thanks to Delaine Due, M.O.M. (Manager of Many things) for being my accounts manager for this project.
Thank You Everyone! Here's what the money will help pay for.
Camera: $100-$200--now that I've got such amazing backing (I can't believe it!), I've decided to make the camera budget 1/3 of my total budget. Can't wait to get started filming.
Planning for anything technical I run into like microphones or lights or software upgrades: $100-$200
Printing movie posters: $25-$35
Special Effects/Make-Up: still researching
Cast and Crew pizza party: $80
Theater Rental and snacks for Premier: $100
DVDs, photography, postage, etc: $50
(As Jack is learning about how to research and budget, he is seeing that his project can be much better and serious with the funding of the backers. Your support has inspired him to work even harder! He says he thinks that he can now use about $700 budget! Nothing like experience to learn. Thanks, M.O.M.)
