We're just chuffed to bits to see all the support for DAS SNEAKER!
It's stunning. Thank you!
We never expected the project to resonate so deeply and quickly - it's given us heaps of confidence and we can't wait to begin working on our first big batch of sneakers.
Next step, we'll begin working on the sole moulds, early next week.
Meanwhile, we've already begun getting feedback from customers who've been test-driving DAS SNEAKER prototypes and, thankfully, it's all very positive! Patrick even visited our store yesterday to tell us he's walked 50km in his sneakers so far (according to FitBit) and that they haven't stopped being comfortable. He's a veteran of our past shoes and claims the sneaker surpasses them... which is lovely to hear! We hope to see & share more feedback in the weeks ahead.
In other news, we've had a few questions about the width of our sneakers, and whether they can cope with wider feet. The answer is yes! And we've updated our project page to explain a little about that. In short, we have one width of sneaker, but the pliability and softness of the leather, as well as the flexibility of our full-length lacing, is such that we can accomodate both very wide and very narrow feet. Ultimately, we're happy to help guide you to the right size... if you have any questions, or you'd like to send us a foot tracing or measurements, just mail us here: firstname.lastname@example.org. Plenty of time left for sizing though, we won't need you to decide your size (or the colour of your sneaker) until the end of July.
Thanks once again for your support. And we're grateful to those of you who've been spreading the word. There's still 4 weeks of funding left to go and we're excited to see where we end up!
