Reclaimed Micro Gardens: Responsible Micro-Greens for Everyone
Have you been longing to put your green thumb to work but don't have the time, the space or the year round weather? Reclaimed Micro Gardens, made from reclaimed wood across Los Angeles, provides a perfect space to exercise gardening, whether beginning or advanced, across American kitchens. Whether you are lacking space for an outdoor garden, or find yourself in a climate that doesn’t allow you to grow your own organic food, Reclaimed Micro Gardens give you the opportunity to grow food indoors.
The garden is coated in organic walnut oil to seal the aged wood, providing a nuanced color. In the garden you will grow micro-greens. Micro-greens are flavorful and filled with vitamins, perfect for adding to any meal. Just add the provided specialty soil, a pinch of provided fertilizer, a pinch of provided seeds (you will choose from arugula, beets, mustard, radish, onion, garlic chive, anise), ten drops of water per day, light from your kitchen window, and prepare to garnish after 7-21 days of growth.
Backing this project gets you free shipping, discounted deals on seeds, fertilizer and soil, and pays for the initial start-up costs of getting Reclaimed Micro-Gardens in motion. As we discern our growth after the Kickstarter and the public launch of the website, we will be hiring more and more people to make the gardens as demand requires.
It cost Nick Warnes, at Reclaimed Micro Gardens, an initial $1000 for equipment, labor and LLC. The next $1500 will go toward our initial costs on branding and website development, which you can visit at www.reclaimedmicrogardens.com.
Thank you for the support. It means so much!
Risks and challenges
The greatest challenge in front of us is that of revolutionizing the way that we eat in Los Angeles. Eventually, at Reclaimed Micro Gardens, we would like to see the way that we eat at restaurants in America change. When one sits at most restaurant tables today in the USA, they are given two options to add flavor to their food. Salt and pepper. At Reclaimed Micro Gardens, we feel that we can do better than salt and pepper by adding healthier options with more flavor profiles through micro-greens. This Kickstarter is the beginning of tackling the challenge of changing our national mindset and our product at Reclaimed Micro Gardens places us as the leaders of this challenge.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
