What is Yeti Press?
Back in 2011, Eric Roesner and RJ Casey collaborated on a 16-page comic called Pecos. When we finished, we wanted to put a logo on it to officially give our 2 man operation a name. We decided on Yeti Press. We took the book to our first convention, naive yet full of enthusiasm, and immediately got the bug - the bug to push each other creatively and keep making more comics. We wrote and drew more projects, then started putting out books by artists and friends we admired, taking them all over the United States and Canada. We can now say that over the last 2 years, we have released 15 comics ranging from 8 to 376 pages.
We like to consider ourselves a small publishing behemoth that provides readers with a constant stream of sometimes humorous, often reader-friendly comics and graphic novels. We have been fortunate enough to publish works by such amazing artists as Kevin Budnik, Kat Leyh, David Alvarado, and Sean Mac among others.
This is where we were. Here is where we want to be . . .
We have grown steadily over the last 2 years, but to take the next step towards where we want to be, we are asking for your help. A stellar lineup of books has been assembled, including brand new talent and Yeti Press favorites, that we'd like to release over the next year. Three of those books would be completed and shipped in the fall/winter months and another 3 would come to you in the spring/summertime. This Kickstarter effort will be a one time only deal, offering single issues, assorted goodies, and most importantly - a subscription service. You have the opportunity to sign up for a half-year, full-year, or renewing subscription to Yeti Press. Oh yeah!
All the books can be bought individually, however, they are cheaper if purchased in the FALL/WINTER, SPRING/SUMMER, and FULL YEAR SUBSCRIPTIONS.
Kat Leyh's all-ages fantasy masterpiece is being collected into one full color book! Bird Witch follows Tali and Nina as they both attempt to master their magical powers and live up to their family reputations. Can they pull together when they face an evil lurking in the woods they are supposed to be patrolling? Find out in this 6 issue collection, brilliantly drawn by the creator of the online hit Pancakes. The book features never before published stories as well as sketches and pin-ups and can be purchased for $30. It also comes in the fall/winter subscription.
"Bird Witch is intriguing, magical, nicely drawn, and utterly adorable. I wish there had been comics like this when I was a kid, and I'm very glad there is now!" - Dylan Horrocks, Eisner Award winning creator of Hicksville and Atlas
Pecos Collection by RJ Casey and Eric Roesner
60 pages, b/w
8.5'' x 11''
Yeti Press's flagship title is now getting it's own rip-roarin' collection! Putting together the first two issues, as well as the brand new issue 3, this book has enough laughs to choke a horse. Our gross-out tall-tale cowboy comedy has it all - lassos, narcotics, wolves! Oh, did we mention forbidden love? We can guarantee you've never seen Johnny Appleseed or Paul Bunyan quite like this. The Pecos Collection can be purchased for $20 and comes in the fall/winter subscription.
"I wrote a report about tall tale heroes when I was in 4th grade. Had I read RJ Casey and Eric Roesner's Pecos back then, I probably would've received an F. Also... kicked out of school. That's some weird sh*t, man."
- Mike Norton, Eisner Award winning creator of Battlepug and Revival
Rose from the Dead by Andrea Bell
40 pages, full color
6.5'' x 8''
Andrea Bell is one of comics most talented, young creators and this will be her first full-length printed release. In this book, Andrea single-handedly creates the genre "Adorahorror" by combining the most fun elements of horror with her signature adorable style. Teenagers Jack and Roz stumble upon an eerie cemetery and, with the help of some sinister skeletons, go on an adventure that brings their personal fears to the surface. Rose from the Dead can be purchased for $12 and comes in the fall/winter subscription.
"Equipped with a playful brush pen and wonderful sense of humor, Andrea Bell is ready to destroy all monsters. Her comics are a hoot and a real treat not to be missed!"
- Chris "Elio" Eliopoulos, creator of Mr. Puzzle and Yo Gabba Gabba: Gabba Ball
Poop, Boobs, Poo by Sam Sharpe
100 pages, b/w
5'' x 6.5''
Cackle, chuckle, chortle, guffaw. This is a list of the things you'll do when you get your hands on Sam Sharpe's newest book. Poop, Boobs, Poo assembles all of Sam's hilarious one-panel strips into one gut-busting compendium. This is truly gag comics at their finest! The book can be purchased for $18 and is also included in the spring/summer subscription.
"The recipe for funny gag cartoons is lost between each and every one. It's a small miracle when a new one is written. These cartoons are a miracle-plosion."
- Shannon Wheeler, 2 time Eisner Award winning creator of Too Much Coffee Man and regular New Yorker cartoonist
Well Come by Erik Nebel
100 pages, full color
5.5'' x 8.5''
We think Erik Nebel is one of today's most underrated artists and we couldn't be happier printing a collection of his webcomic Well Come. This truly unique book is a window into a surreal, spiritual world that twists and turns unexpectedly from one emotion to another. The graphic novel can be purchased for $25 and will be included in the spring/summer subscription.
"Truly strange. It's like stills from an unrealized, slightly scary kid's show."
- Alex Schubert, creator of Blobby Boys and Vice contributor
The Summit by RJ Casey and Gabriel Bautista
24 pages, full color
8.25'' x 11.25''
A heart wrenching story of a terminally sick man and his final wish, to climb Mt. Everest and die at the top. He will need a sherpa to ascend however, but those Himalayan experts are all but forgotten and dismissed in the future. This heartfelt science-fiction tale is beautifully drawn and colored by Eisner winner Gabriel Bautista. The Summit can be bought for $15 and will be included on the spring/summer subscription.
Other rewards can also be obtained along with our fantastic books. They include:
A limited edition Yeti Press screen print by Eric Roesner for $10 (limit 12)
Watercolor commission by Gabriel Bautista for $150 (limit 2)
Digital commission by Kat Leyh for $150 (limit 3)
We are very excited to offer 2 more books if we reach the stretch goal of $12,000. These books will be available to purchase individually if we reach the goal and they both will be included to anyone who has already purchased the fall/winter subscription! These books are . . .
Dust Motes Vol. 1 by Kevin Budnik
28 pages, b/w
8.5'' x 11''
Dust Motes Vol. 2 by Kevin Budnik
24 pages, b/w
8.5'' x 11''
Kevin Budnik returns to Yeti Press with two new volumes of introspective autobiographical comics. Kevin's first book Our Ever Improving Living Room was a collection of daily diary strips and Dust Motes picks up where it left off. Each collection includes a man dealing with powerful issues as he grows as a person and as an artist. We can honestly say that this is Kevin's best and most personal work yet. If the stretch goal is met, each book will be $6 or will be free if you already purchased the fall/winter subscription.
"Budnik gives voice to his loneliness, his wanting to connect but often feeling uncomfortable with others, nostalgia for a comforting childhood and difficulty accepting adulthood. Somehow, amazingly, he comes up with a punchline every day and a strip that's just a solidly-constructed read."

Risks and challenges
We can sincerely tell you that there is very little risk in funding this project. Although this is our first Kickstarter effort, we have been publishing comics in a variety of different styles and lengths for a little over 2 years.
Every cent raised will be going into printing and shipping our releases.
All the books mentioned above are currently finished or actively being worked on. The only aspect of this funding effort that might be considered "up in the air" are the actual months the books get shipped. That is why we have given you seasons and projected months. If we do reach our goal, books will most likely ship earlier than projected.
Thank you again for your support!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
