About this project
Animated Film "Sizzle Reel"
Our ultimate goal is to create an animation or live action animation film based on our book 'The Magic Dozen at Emerald Pond', however, we need your assistance to create an animated "Sizzle Reel" which is instrumental to the "Next Step" of our Henny Bogan film project.
The "Sizzle Reel" is the next stage of the "Henny Bogan" journey. A "Sizzle Reel is a 60 to 90 second animated snippet of the story...Similar to a movie trailer.
Interest from film studios of our project has already been shown, however, all have requested an animated "Sizzle Reel" to review.
As you may be aware, any professionally created animation project is extremely expensive.
Our initial goal is $ 25,000.00 for the creation of the "Sizzle Reel".

The 'Magic Dozen at Emerald Pond'
The Magic Dozen story overview:
Set in the early 1960’s, a grandfather shares a story with his grandson about a bully’s cruel acts that trigger a magical, life-transforming adventure.
Based on our published book, 'The Magic Dozen at Emerald Pond', Henny Bogan is a heartwarming, family oriented screenplay that captivates the imagination and emotions of all audiences.
Zack, the story's main character, is a lonely, overweight boy who has given up on life.
Being the brunt of bully pranks, Zack’s entire life had been riddled with pain; no friends, few dreams, and he could barely read. He was a self-admitted failure…until… he discovers a hidden box of 12 golf balls which magically come to life. Little did he know that his world would be changed forever.

The "Magic Dozen"
Shown below are the character images that are featured in the book. They are magical characters each having its own unique personality.
We were fortunate to establish a relationship with an outstanding artist/illustrator living in Salt Lake City. Bob's incredible professional talent made our characters come to life.
For the past thirty years, Bob Commander has created powerful imagery for some of the nation’s leading companies, agencies, publishers, and design firms. Notable clients include; Intel, Time Warner, New Line Cinema, Disney, Universal, RJR, Sony, McDonald's Eastman Kodak, Penguin Putnam, and many others.
The Call That Changed Everything
After reading the Magic Dozen, we were contacted by Tim Nelson, a well known family film producer, director, and screenwriter. Tim shared that he read our book and stated that this book is tremendous family film material and asked if he could write the script.
The script was written and the "Henny Bogan" project became a reality!
Unfortunately, Tim passed away after a courageous battle with cancer before seeing the Henny Bogan project completed.
Now, we have magical characters, a family oriented published book and a film script written by an industry recognized "Family Films" producer/director/screenwriter and interest from studios.
We are "now" ready for the creation of a animated "Sizzle Reel" and need your assistance...
So...What's on the Horizon??????
The Future...The "City of Bounce"
Once our initial goal of $ 25,000 is reached, we have a "Stretch Goal" of $ 50,000.
The "Stretch Goal" pledges will specifically be dedicated to the continuing story development...introducing the "City of Bounce"
We have created a "City of Bounce" story outline for your review.
The "City of Bounce" is a magical city where all balls reside. The city is completely inhabited by every type of ball imaginable.
Golf balls, soccer balls, tennis balls, ping-pong balls, basketballs, footballs, bowling balls, volleyballs, and even beach balls, which are the clumsiest of all balls. Every kind of ball found their home in the City of Bounce”.......
The "City of Bounce" having multiple ball characters provides the material for never ending stories and adventures.
The Strong Human Connection...
Throughout time, balls and humans have shared a strong connection and purpose. Balls play a critical role throughout every human’s life. Even as babies, humans feel strong attachment for rolling objects which they can’t ignore.
Every person who has ever bounced a ball can remember what it feels like. Every child who has kicked a ball, swung a bat or racket, dribbled down a court or played catch is familiar with the fun and excitement it brings.
The "City of Bounce" Motto:
The founding fathers of the "City of Bounce" made sure that everything was round or at the very least, dome shaped. They held tight to their motto, “It must bounce or roll, or we don’t need it!” Everything about the city was round, even its residents.
The city is ruled by King Roll, a large soccer ball who is the keeper of the magical orb that allows the balls to "Launch" back and forth between the human world on missions to assist children and families in their life challenges.
Banished from the city, Evil Prince Strike and his henchmen, the Wobbles, continually try to undermine King Roll and the cities "Launch" ceremonies.
Shown below are artwork samples and storyboards demonstrating the never-ending scope of the project.

Now...It's Up To You.
All the pieces are in place and we need your assistance to reach our goal of $25,000 for the production of an animated "Sizzle Reel".
Our "Stretch Goal" of $50,000 will focus on new character artwork, creation of multiple story lines and additional animation shorts for the continued development of the "City of Bounce".
We have 30 days to make this happen....
Join us and be a part of something that will make a difference in everyone's lives.

Positive Project Feedback Already!

What a great message to send kids! Sports should be a part of any child's life teaching them how to win and how to lose sometimes and above all and how to work as a team. Discrimination and negativity seems to dominate the world more and more each generation. It is so comforting to see that there are others that exist that want to see the well-being of our children prosper without conviction of external appearance! Great job on getting some positive incite to our youth in a compassionate and enjoyable way!
What a great message and story to educate children about abuse. The message with help focus the kids on what bullying really is and its effects. This is a good family oriented story with real lasting value.
I think this is a wonderful idea, so many children have to deal with being bullied, myself included, that this type of project is needed. Its about time we had some good wholesome entertainment for children.
So many people are affected by bullies that I am pleased to support this project. If everyone works together to raise awareness and to educate, true lasting change will occur. I read the book. It is a fun, entertaining story. This is a great project!
The outreach capability of this project has tremendous implications. The potential is enormous. The message helps reinforce the nation-wide effort to put an end to bullying. It also communicates to children on a level they can understand and relate to on a daily basis. It has the power to get their attention and when you get the attention of children, they learn quicker and retain what they learn. Wonderful project!
Love the idea that you've posed here Brown! With this being a family oriented project that will be valuable to all age levels I am going to be sure that all of my contacts in all networks, social and professional take a look at this. Great job!
The book and illustrations are first rate. With the same creative team behind this project, this looks like a real winner. The sports fantasy setting that provides a platform to address the important issues of fitness and bullying is extremely well done, with golf a great start and a wonderful introduction to beautifully and lovingly rendered "characters". What's even more exciting about this project is the opportunity to branch out into the "City of Bounce". What an great way to reach an even wider audience in greatly expanded creative settings and nearly limitless opportunities to explore and teach fun, uplifting and important lessons! I can't wait to see "Henny Bogan" come to full animated life and am even more anxious to visit the "City of Bounce".
The conceptual idea is sound and the risk factor is low. I like the overall theme behind this project. Bullying is something that is a large part of our society. Many of the "babyboomer" group has lived our entire lives with bullies---some of us still are fighting the bullies who continue to want to disrupt our lives. Just as Forest Gump brought attention to another important issue of our time perhaps Henny Bogan will become another Forest Gump! My name is Henny---Henny Bogan!
What a beautiful story! I remember similar material as a child and it has stayed with me for a lifetime. Thrilled to see that there are others out there with vision and ability to create such a positive and memorable experience for our youth! I intend to share this with my whole network and will gladly pledge funds to see the project come to life.
