You're the new owner of a small campground along the river Ardèche. It all seems so easy! A small plot of land, a reception and a website is all you need to receive some income from tourists.
Satisfied you take a rest – but not for long, as your guests already leave for greener pastures! They like your competitor's campground more: the ‘Clash d’Ardèche’ has begun.
Claim the best sites, bluff out your competitors, bribe the mayor and fulfill your secret assignment to win!
With this expansion pack, just bribe the mayor to be the one and only player with permission to receive camper-vans on your campground. Will you acquire this monopoly? The permit is given every season, so just take care to be the first in line!
MRSP: €10, now on Kickstarter: €6 (shipping included). Content: 7 Camper-vans + rules.
Just pledge your tier + €6 to receive one Camper-van expansion pack.
The above is a prototype, not the final version of game components. Dutch gameplay video here.
Clash d’Ardèche is a bluffing & strategic area control game for 1-4 players. In approximately one hour you start from scratch to end with a thriving campground.
Invest your money wisely: buy the best facilities, broadcast radio commercials and bribe the mayor at the right time to expand and flourish. The bluffing element in the game is the time when you set the price you charge your guests. What price is set by your opponents? And how will their guests react to your price?
Because every player has a secret assignment with different victory conditions, players follow different strategies and replayability is high.
The two core game mechanics are the price-quality steps and the bribe cards.
- The price-quality steps determine to which campground guests want to go. Influence those guests by building starbuildings on your campground and by charging them higher or lower prices. Because you don't know the price set by your competitors, this is the time when you have to bluff your way to the desired outcome. Be careful not to chase away your own guests though!
- The bribe cards are a combination of worker placement, card drafting and set collection-mechanics. Different combinations of cigars, jewellery and wine get you powerful favors from the friendly mayor.
- In the expert version another mechanic is added: the gameboard becomes a strategic puzzle as your guests want to camp nearby your sanitary, swimming pool or restaurant. Luckily you can also let them use your neighbours' facilities :-).
In the solo-version of Clash d'Ardèche the friendly, but slightly corrupt mayor has gone megalomaniac. His nice country house in the outskirts of the small French village is no longer any good, he now demands the island as the vicinity for his mansion! Rules can be downloaded on our BGG-page.

Risks and challenges
Maybe you've noticed we launched this game before, in june this year. Despite positive reviews we didn't fund. Now we're back.
Main difference with the former campaign is the participation of illustrator Shaz Yong and graphic designer Sebastián Koziner in this project. They totally transformed the looks of the game. We hope you like what they did with the artwork!
About 70% of the illustrations of the game is finished.
This means the main risks of this project concern production and shipping. We keep these risks as low as possible, by only using well-known and trusted factories and shipping companies.
The time table after this campaign is as follows:
November-December: finishing of graphic design
January-February: production in factory
March: shipping from China to USA & Europe
April: shipping to your home addresses
We love this game as much as you do, so we'll give our 100% to get this working!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
