About this project
Welcome to our film Toothpick Unity.
Toothpick Unity is about a hypochondriac named Reginald who needs to find a date for his ex girlfriend's wedding. He is still in love with her but wants her to believe he's not. The film is Reginald's odyssey to find a girl, but no one is interested in him. It just doesn't click with anyone. Who wants to go out with a germ-a-phobic, OCD, germ-a phobe?
Reginald sits down on a bench at the park and is about to call it quits when Dawn sits down next to him. She regularly comes to the park to read. Dawn inquires about Reginald's clothes as they're two sizes too big for him. He also wears a strange hat and there are baggies covering his feet. After some embarrassment Reginald tells her his dilemma. Dawn sees an innocent face and tells him she'll go the wedding with him. He explains they don't even have to hold hands if she doesn't want to.
Reginald takes Dawn to meet his landlord to prove he too can find a hot girl. When Dawn and Reginald kiss to prove they're together, Reginald runs off to brush the germs away. Dawn sees the toothpaste in the corners of his mouth and she leaves him on the spot. Reginald spends the rest of the film trying to win her back to get to the wedding.
Please watch our video to see a scene from the movie and meet our lead actors. At the end of the scene I, Stuart Fail, explain a little about myself and the film with the help of the actors. The video will give you a chance to get a taste of the film and who we are as people. Welcome to the Toothpick Unity family!
Toothpick Unity is when a group of people come together for one common goal. In one case it's about a group of people that all cover their mouths when they use a toothpick. In another case it's about getting everyone to wash their hands together. Something Reginald would love to see happen.

We are looking for help for the production itself. From preproduction to the final product. We especially need help with transportation to Minnesota, housing for the cast and crew, meals and post production/editing costs.
