The Wizard's Tower contains stackable tower sections to create your own unique Wizard's Tower.
Files have been scaled for 28mm miniatures but, as with all 3d printable files, you have the ability to scale them up or down to suit your gaming needs.
Pledging for this is easy. There is only one pledge with rewards to choose from and any extras that are opened up through the course of the project will be included in this pledge.
The initial reward consists of 7 different modular tower pieces and a ladder. All of which have been created on Blender, run through a repair tool, to check for any non-manifold parts and other errors, and printed.
- Tower roof
- Single window tower section
- Tower section with door
- Tower bridge (2 bridge sections link together)
- Double window tower section
- Windowless tower section
- Tower base
- and a ladder
Stretch Goal unlocked
- Ruined Tower
- Arcane Summit
The tower pieces can be oriented in almost any direction to provide a different look each time you game.
The tower pieces interlock with 18 sections as seen in the image below. This provides 18 different orientations for each tower section. These are loosely locked together to let pieces to be easily removed from one another allowing you easy access to the inside of the tower but still having them stack in an orderly fashion.
Measurements for printing this out at 100% (suitable for 28mm gaming) are as follows.
Height for all modular pieces are 55mm excepting the roof which is 117mm tall and the bridge piece which is 81mm
Diameters for all modular pieces are roughly 105mm excepting the roof which is 132mm diameter and the bridge piece which is 148mm x 105mm at its longest (or fits into a square 138mm x 138mm)
To keep this really simple there are only 2 pledge levels. 1 without any rewards and 1 with rewards.
Keep up to date on the happenings of the project with updates and just be an all round nice person. No reward is given for this pledge level.

This will retail for $10 USD on DrivethruRPG. This makes it a saving of close to 33% (taking into account that $1 NZD = $0.68 USD) This value is based upon exchange rates which unfortunately I have no control of.
Every five days of the project, days 5, 10, 15 and 20, a new accessory will be added free to each pledge of The Wizard's Tower. These are nothing fancy but are a nice little free gift to fill out the tower to your liking. Here is a teaser image for you. I'm sure you'll be able to make some guesses as to what is hidden in the image.
A tower top that has seen better days. The ruined tower can be great to show a battle damaged tower or an ancient crumbling relic from long ago. Use it on its own or at the top of the tower section. The Ruined Tower has been unlocked and added free for anyone who pledges for The Wizard's Tower level.
The above image is still a work in progress but is close to finishing.
A tower top suiting your magician's mighty abilities. If you're looking for something a bit more grand then this could be for you. The Arcane Summit has been unlocked and added free for everyone who pledges for The Wizard's Tower level.
The above image is still very much a work in progress but should not take long to complete.
Battles on a bridge always look cool. This extra long bridge extension will allow you to make the bridge as long as you want. Once we reach $2000 the long bridge will become available to all backers pledging at the Wizard's Tower level.
This is also a work in progress. It will also contain extensions to make the bridge as tall as you want.
I wouldn't let you place money into this project without actually seeing some finished products. Here are the files printed as is at 100% scale, supports removed and a quick cleanup. These have been printed at 200 microns.
The next photos are the first prototypes I printed with these. They are a little smaller at 82% of how the finished files will be scaled but they give you a general idea of how they can look. Some parts have been quickly painted with some cheap spray paint and craft paints. These were also printed before the connecting pieces were added to the underside of the prints as seen earlier. Also the top piece on the right hand side is not part of the kickstarter (unless people really want it added).
Fulfillment of The Wizard's Tower will be completed through DriveThruRPG. Codes will be made for each backer to download the files from their site. Fulfillment will begin as soon as possible. This should hopefully be within 2 weeks of the project funding. A survey will be sent out shortly after the project has funded to gather email addresses associated with DriveThruRPG accounts. Please note, this is the only way to gain these files. It will be advantageous to you as you will then have the files in your library so you can access them as often as you would like.

Over the last few years I have added many sculptures to a variety of ranges throughout the wargaming community. Mostly through Alternative Armies and CP models. Most of my sculpting has been through traditional means, sculpting with Greenstuff or Beesputty but some items have made use of digital design.
And lastly a big THANK YOU to my brother, Neil Billings, for doing the title art on this project. Check out this link for more of his work.
Risks and challenges
There are minimal risks with this project. All of the original tower pieces have been created. Initial files have been uploaded to the cloud in the unlikely event of file corruption, computer explosion or theft of my PC. As new sections are developed these will also be uploaded to the cloud. Fulfillment of the project will be quick and easy as the initial files have been created. There may be some delay with any extras that are needed but initial files will be sent out ASAP after the project has fulfilled and money cleared and any follow up files will be accessible later.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
