Hi Geoff, we will definitely have an update next month with more pics. It's still coming along slowly, but I really like how everything is coming together. Thank you!
Can we get another update on the status of the movie? I had not received my DVD and it's 2016, along with the address that I gave to you I stopped working there on Jan1st... please update us!!!
@Geoff Skinner
The last update was in January 2014, Coming up to almost 2 years of no updates soon.
How about giving us an update on how you are doing, and how everything is progressing.
Hey Paul, we're still working hard on it, and I think you'll really like where it lands. Definitely taking longer than we intended, but it'll be worth the wait.
Hi Sean, we'll have some news soon, including a website link, more pics, as well as the backer videos. We've been hard at work on the short this whole time and it's looking fantastic.
Some blessed individuals have accomplished their greatest deeds and participated in their most epic adventures long after their demise.
After Life: True Tales of the Wandering Dead is a thoughtful and well-researched compilation of these very real post-mortem adventures.
Learn the complete history of mummy commerce and how the powdered remains of pharaohs came to be found in masterpiece works of art. Unearth the very real role Body Snatchers and ‘Resurrectionists’ performed in the name of science. Read about the Portuguese concubine who was exhumed and made Queen and about the deceased Wild West outlaw who travelled America as a funhouse prop.
These are just a small sampling of the very true tales of the wandering dead that can be found in the pages of After Life.
We will have an update soon, and you'll have something in your mailboxes as well. The film is coming along very nicely, and I'm blown away by what efram has been doing with the visual effects. I can't wait to share more!
Congrats! I feel kind of sleazy for literally pledging at the last minute, but every cent helps, right? Love your short films, and I can't wait to see what you do with a feature-length film!
This sounds like a great concept, I look forward to your making it a reality.
A quick word for verisimilitude: at 00:23 of the project video you said the man put himself in "cryogenic sleep" , this should be cryonic rather than cryogenic. Cryogenics are for frozen peas, cryonics are for human beings. It's a pet peeve of mine, always takes me out of a film or a book when it's wrong.
Today would have been my friend's birthday... I really want to see his pic in the movie and I'm a little nervous about the project getting to $18K with only a week left, so I just raised my pledge from $25 to $50. If you can, please consider bumping up your pledge too! :)
I've been living vicariously though Efram since Project Greenlight. I decided to chip in on this project after his amusing and enlightening appearance on the podcast On The Page. Good luck to you, Geoff and all involved!
Use this space to cheer the creator along, and talk to your fellow backers.
Have a question?
