I'm a Brooklyn-based journalist. I've written about gay life, including my own misadventures, and AIDS for two decades. I've worked and written for some great publications, including Jane, New York, Time Out New York, OUT and POZ.
I'm an activist. Before I left to finish DO I SOUND GAY?, I spent five years as communications director for the pioneering AIDS nonprofit Housing Works, helping organize many a creative protest in the ongoing battle against AIDS.
