Last week I finally had the chance to really put the Eardials to the test, front row at a death metal concert (Persefone to be exact for the ones interested). Absolutely a fantastic job these little plugs did, I did feel the thundering bass feel go through my body, the audio was actually surprisingly good compared to my existing plugs, all be it that voices were a bit duller if that's how to describe it. Guitars, bass and drums were amazing! Absolutely satisfied, even when headbanging they will stay in properly.
@Hans thanks for your feedback. Yeah many people is finding better to just not use the plastic tray. I'm happy to know you find them comfortable and to see your thumbs up :)
I live in the USA and sent you my address but i still do not have my eardials. I am looking forward to using them. when should i expect them to arrive.
@Mark For sure. We did send you the coupon though. Please check first in your spam folder. If it's not there, please send me a private message and we will sort this out. Thanks
@Marko There was an issue with your order and it will arrive later than expected, but yeah, is on the way.
@Hans It will arrive very soon
@Bruce Thanks, enjoy the show!
@Sean since you used the coupon, you need to contact Amazon directly to check the status of your delivery.
@alond @Sean Rao Your packages should have arrived already. I'm contacting the shipping company to see what happened. Please send me a private message for more information.
I'll be trying them out again certainly. I'm not one of these 'I threw it straight in the bin' people that you always come across in Amazon reviews! I'll also add in that I've got a nasty head cold at the moment and often have issues with my sinuses (which literally started 2 years ago and never before in my life) so all of that will affect my ear canals certainly.
Another thought is that the sound is quite often a bit wobbly at the start of gigs as they're adjusting the levels and my GF did say afterwards that she was glad they got it right fairly quickly because it was quite unbalanced. She was torn herself because she doesn't hear in one ear (just a low muffle like putting your ear to a sea shell) so didn't want to miss even more of the music, but at the same time she's obviously concerned about protecting the hearing she does have.
What I will say is that the small amount of pain you get from loud music was immediately apparent when I removed them. It's something you probably don't consider too much normally, but when it's possible to reduce that it becomes alarmingly noticeable. I did also try them out in the office and found that they behave a bit like noise-cancelling headphones in that I could hear voices very clearly but there was no background hum or clatter of keyboards etc.
@Alex They reduce the decibels with a flat curve across frequencies, and they don't distort or cancel any specific sounds. If this is the first time you wear earplugs perhaps your ears need to get used to it.
OK, I just tried these out at a gig in London. I either had them jammed too far inside my ears or they block out too much sound. I'm amazed at how effective they are, don't get me wrong, but I'd have missed so much of the music if I hadn't removed them after the opening song. So I'm now sitting back at home with tinnitus as usual after a gig.
I also had to put them in my shirt pocket until I got home because there was no way I'd have been able to get them back in the capsule at the venue.
Perhaps these would work better for clubbing where the sound stage isn't so varied, but I was pretty much only hearing the vocals and the general hum of the music, kind of like when you watch live footage on TV without a decent speaker and it sounds odd because half of the instruments aren't really coming through.
@Brad @Jason, yes I agree with you, the plastic tray ended up a bit different than the prototype, and we need to improve it. As you know, as soon as we had the perfect earplug we rushed the last steps so you could have them as soon as possible. But I'm glad to see that you, like me, focus on the earplug quality rather than the plastic tray.
Just got mine today as well! The plugs work great and the metal carrier is of good quality. I agree that the plastic tray inside the container is rather...suspect. I find easier just to store them in the container without the tray. But an excellent ear plug to be sure!
The ear plugs work magnificently! The only complaint I have is the clear plastic retaining module that holds the ear plugs in the pod broke after about three days use. The ear plugs them selves are wonderful and the pod to carry them is very convenient but once the other side of the retaining module breaks I am afraid the ear plugs will get lodged in the carrying pod and require tweezers to get them out. Excellent job on the ear dials though, I'd still recommend them to others!
@Anthony We shipped the items to your address last week, should arrive soon. We have no public tracking number, but rest assure your parcel is on the way. Cheers!
@Kevin I agree that tray can and will be improved. However I think that better than not use the tray at all, you can get around that by letting the top side kind of slide inside the bottom side (instead of hit one against the other), so the height is smaller and it enters easier in the tube cap. Hopefully that makes sense. Other option would be to take a small scissor and cut a bit the top side. I'm pretty sure you would have troubles if you don't use the tray at all.
@Grant Thanks for the heads up. Actually your shipment and a few others were in Pending status (don't ask me why) but they are shipping now. Sorry about that
I am checking in to see what the status is on shipping to Oregon. I have a concert that I'm attending next week and would love to have Eardial on board.
The only thing that lets this down a bit is the plastic bit inside the metal case. Very fiddly. The earplugs don't seem to fit comfortably and it sticks when opening the case to remove the earplugs. Taking these out in a dark club would be a nightmare. I've decided to use the case without the plastic bit. Now one earplug sits in the top of the case and the other in the base. It's a shame there isn't a better solution. Still a great product, it just needed a little extra care with the storage solution I think.
@Butter I sent it directly to your address. You should receive it soon.
@Kevin We did a small test production with an inferior product. Now I updated completely the listing with the new product.
@alond You are not from UK or US, so we didn't send you any codes. Also we are not sending tracking ids. We sent your product to your address directly. Should arrive in 5-7 days.
@StarWolfer Thanks that's very considerate of you. As soon as we noticed Amazon charges shipping outside UK, we decided to send their rewards directly to their addresses. Only you and a handful more outside UK got those coupons.
@Martin Thanks for your feedback. We want to improve on the quality of that tray. However I'd like to have a closer look to your case. Can you send me an email with a picture?
Overall, quite good, however, I'm really not impressed by the quality of the little plastic case inside the metal holder. In the video, this fit well, and looked like it was a smooth action. Mine however, when first opening, got stuck, pulled back, and flung one of the earplugs across the room. It's also quite sharp, and would be quite easy to cut myself on this.

@WSE Hi! I've received my EarDials today! Thank you!!
WSE Créateur le May 22
@Mariano it seems that packages to Argentina get retained in customs. You need to call them to get it released

Thanks, Luis.
WSE Créateur le May 3
@Hans I'm so glad to hear that! Thanks a lot for your feedback!
@Chris they reduce 20 dB. That is the SNR 20 that you can see everywhere :) Great to hear you are satisfied!
Chris le May 2
I felt that I needed to ask, how much decibels can eardial reduce?
I looked everywhere but it doesn't seem to state this.
Quite satistified with the use though, I was just quite curious.
Cheers,

Regarding the shipment of the new tray, is it a problem if the shipping address and the country has changed?
Kevin A Pearson le March 30
Thanks for the new tray. It's great to see you are still following through on Backer feedback.
WSE Créateur le March 10
@Hans thanks for your feedback. Yeah many people is finding better to just not use the plastic tray. I'm happy to know you find them comfortable and to see your thumbs up :)
Hans Meijer le March 9
Great to say I finally also received my Eardials, I think I will really gonna like them, they're very comfortable.
As said before, the plastic tray is pretty useless as it currently is, so I removed it and placed the Eardials without a problem directly in the case.
I hope to test them pretty soon, thumbs up so far :)
