The Invincible Bunch - A New Series
Five disparate gay guys try to find common ground over their weekly D&D-style role playing game.
The Invincible Bunch is an ensemble series about five very different gay guys who come together regularly in the backroom of their local comic book store to play a tabletop role-playing game.
Their attempts to work together to navigate the fantasy world created by their Gamesmaster are frequently sidelined by heated debates about superhero movies, video games, pop culture and their sex lives.
Can these mismatched companions learn to get along? What are the chances of rolling three natural twenties in a row? Is it against a Paladin's order to use Tinder? And can we talk about Nightwing's butt?? All of these questions will be answered... and more.
The above video is a proof of concept that represents our ambitions for an episode. It was produced by utilizing a lot of hard work and dedication and since it was made with almost no resources, we believe that it showcases the team's ability to use creative decision making and smart application of funds to make a high quality product. The series we would like to make will feature eight 5-minute episodes like this one - only like, 87% more amazing.
Our goals are simple ones: 1) make something great 2) create a series that features a diverse, inter-generational group of gay men 3) produce an entertaining portrayal of RPG play that is fundamentally connected to character development and 4) integrate animation (the hand drawn kind) in a smart and fun way as a means of making the look and feel of our show distinctive.
Our budget is designed to compensate our cast and crew for their time and talent first, and then focus on the live action and animation production.
50% - Cast/Crew
20% - Production/Administrative Costs
20% - Animation
10% - Post Production
Any additional funds raised would be applied with a focus towards live action and animation production. Because we want stuff to look nice.

"Web series about gay men don’t often feature Dungeons & Dragons-style role-playing games, but director C. Edwards is hoping to change that with his new project, The Invincible Bunch."
- Adam Salandra
"Often, when we think of how gay people are represented in the media we, think of shows like Looking and Fire Island. We think of abs, Speedos, parties, and drama. Director C. Edwards is hoping to change that with his new project, The Invincible Bunch.
