Simple Serial eliminates LED design problems. Simple Serial uses I2C communication to talk to a microcontroller or arduino.
Simple Serial is all about making design effortless when it comes to status displays. These displays are everywhere - if it has electricity, it probably has an LED display.
Not only is it great for large scale design, simple serial meets the needs of prototypes, custom projects, Arduino projects and other small scale designs.
The power comes from it's ability to work from a common I2C bus. This means the unit can be plugged into any project, at any location with only 4 wires. Actually, up to 100 devices can be plugged into the same wires and operate fully independently. It's just never been possible before.

Risks and challenges
Most significant risks are due to IC availability. I have selected 2 backup suppliers. My primary supplier currently has enough stock for 5X of this projects expectations.
Components will be purchased through distributors or directly.
PCB manufacturing will be done by a professional PCB manufacturer.
PCB assembly with be done by a professional assembler.
Overmolding will be done at my local workshop unless funding demand requires and allows for the setup of a larger mold.
I have confidence in my plan based on successful past experience with each of these manufacturing steps and contractors.
