Here's a bit about us: The Aluminous Collective is a multidisciplinary group of artists dedicated to exploring the life and death struggles of the two-person play – more commonly known as the “two-hander.” Seamlessly melding music, film, theatre and anything else we can lay our hands on, each production will be a sensory, 3-dimensional experience. We have only one objective, to tell brilliant, provocative stories that speak to the incredible adventure called the human experience. Dusk Rings a Bell, by Stephen Belber, will be the second production by the Aluminous Collective, but it's first as a truly multimedia company.
Here's a bit about our show: Dusk Rings a Bell is about Molly, a divorced seemingly content public relations executive who returns to the beachfront home where her family spent summers, in search of a memento she hid for her future-self to find. Almost immediately, she encounters something else from her youth: Ray, a wary, introverted landscape gardener with whom she once had a memorable adolescent fling. Both begin to romanticize their chance meeting and it seems destined for a dreamy love affair, but it all comes crashing down when Ray reveals the sordid details of a crime that left him incarcerated for ten years. Their encounter reveals two vastly different paths taken and two lonely people attempting to reclaim a moment of possibility when they were young and perhaps at their best.
Thank you so much for your collaboration and participation in making something really great.
