About this project
WHAT ARE WE RAISING MONEY FOR?
With the money raised here, the production intends to shoot a fan made web series revolving around the the characters from the Batman franchise. What makes this series unique is the fact that we are giving these characters a gritty medieval makeover. Giving Batman and his villains a complete new look as each character will receive a custom set of armor and unique twists built upon their existing story lines.
Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing fundraising platform. We want to see this fan fiction become a reality; if you want to see that as well, please pledge a few dollars and in return, we promise not to disappoint.
OUR FINANCIAL GOALS AND WHAT WILL ACCOMPANY EACH OF THEM:
At the $20,000 base goal we will be able to:
-Create a ridiculously awesome, super special scalemaille Batsuit. This Batsuit will be handcrafted from over 25,000 small scales and 50,000 steel rings. Accompanied with custom weaponry, helm and scalemaille cape to create a BATMAN you will never forget.
-Create a seductive chainmaille dress for POISON IVY
-Create a seductive chain and plate armor set for HARLEY QUINN
-Hold a spectacular photo shoot to show off our talent and their unique medieval look on the classic characters. Then, of course, we share these photos with the world.
-Put our hired actors through training and fight rehearsals to become their respective characters. Then, in late summer shoot 3 episodes for the world's entertainment.
If we raise $30,000:
TWO FACE will receive a medieval makeover and be added to the cast.

This project is an unofficial fan series made by Batman fans. Batman and all related things are TM of DC Comics.
Every penny received from this Kickstarter campaign will go into the project.
Risks and challenges
There are a multitude of small things that go wrong with every production from bad weather to broken equipment. Our production team excels at crisis management to keep ourselves on schedule. Baring a large act of god our productions finish on time.
Being 100% honest... this will not make everyone happy. Batman is beloved by millions and there is no way we will appease all of our donors. All we can do is promise to provide a dramatic storyline full of action and adventure.
This is a fan film, as such we can't make a profit from this project. We need to certain that 100% of the funds raised in this kickstarter go into the making of this short series. Meaning every dollar raised makes this project that much more badass!
This is not my only in-progress Kickstarter, in July I successfully received funding for another project titled MOREAU (Which we are very proud of and excited to share with the world!) Since then, Moreau has moved through pre-production/production and is currently on schedule in post production. The reason I am now launching this second project is because MOREAU is out of my hands. MOREAU is being edited by a partner of mine and my involvement is minimal. Therefore, I am able to put my personal focus elsewhere until the process of editing, sound engineering and scoring is finished. Rather than twiddle my thumbs, I can propel my company forward with it's second project.
It is not expected that either project will affect the other's delivery of donation incentives. However, the production team has taken measures to further reduce the odds of this happening by adding members to the production team and scheduling "catch up time" IF production falls behind schedule. In the small chance that we are late with our incentives, the production team will inform you of our progress, assess new delivery dates and ask for your continued support in the form of patience and compassion.
DC comics is O.K. with letting you use their intelliectual properties, trademarks and copyrights? Could there be legal issues?
This is a fan film series and therefore we can make it provided we do not sell the product. Crowd fundraising through sites like kickstarter isn't selling a product, it's donation based incentives looking for help to create a project. However, it is possible that DC may send a Cease and Desist order... if that happens, we cancel the project and everyone gets their money back.
DC Comics was known to actively discourage the creation of fan movies in the 1990s. In 2008, however, DC Comics changed its tune when its president, Paul Levitz, gave provisional permission to fan filmmakers, stating definitively, "We’re against anything that monetizes our assets and our copyrights without our permission. We are not against things where people use our assets if they don’t do anything monetarily with them."
When the project is finished it will not be sold. This project is created by fans of the Batman franchise, we love the universe DC created and we are simply trying to pay homage to it.
This is also great for those of you who pledge to this project because it means that every penny we receive MUST go into the project.
