by Nicholas Millington , Rio Millington,
Updates are SO important. It at least keeps us in the loop, even if it's a brief one saying "delay on mouthpieces" or what have you. So the more info in updates, the better. Hoping all is running along smoothly. You're not the only project I've backed that's having unexpected delays etc. Carry on!
It’s a logistical challenge. I have just seen images of the new samples and they look good .
Hoping to publish App on Monday as it’s looking good. Will be in China again next week hoping to sign off the final product.
Then it’s game on
just keep doing what you need it's an investment with a perk starting a business is hard you always get the unexpected we just have to be patient
As a project manager myself I know planning is a bitch. But it all comes down how you deal with the unexpected. Keep it up and inform us about your progress of the Saxmonica. Sure, I stand with you and waiting, like all backers, patiently for the perfect desired instrument.
Hi Laurel and Miss Kitty
Cheers for the support. I really appreciate it
I know there are a few disappointed people out there. Me included but rest assure I get up in the morning and try and make things happen.
We are currently testing the app out and the results to date are great. So if you are new to music you are getting something very original that genuinely works.
Not only a simple instrument but a vey original method of learning.
All Blacks are worried about Australia this weekend so it could be the first big test we have had in a while.
But it would be great if the Saxmonica took over from the Vuvuzela. Would make South African football a lot more pleasant to listen to. 🤣🤣🤣🎶
I think you’re doing great! I’ve been waiting on a backpack for over 3 years and the communication is terrible. Your product is complicated and innovative and it took you no time at all to be almost complete with it. So kudos to you! I’m excited to get to play it
No need to reply here. I agree with MissKitty. Thank you for the great communication. Looking forward to playing when it's ready. Although it's not easy, wonderful that you needed to ramp up production! Excellent. Good luck with everything.
Thank you so much for your update. I understand that delays are always a part of KS campaigns, even though I am excited to receive my Sax like everyone else! Thanks for the great communication. It is appreciated! =^.^=

It's ok, we all know how KS goes. As long as you keep it honest it is good. Thanks!
Indeed, I am disappointed! I have been waiting way more than expected, and all I keep getting is continuous bla, bla, bla. How are you going to address, concretely, your undelivered promise?
I have learned from doing this several times that you must have a store of PATIENCE to be a backer. Understanding that being involved in all the steps of a products birth gives you insight that most people do not get!
Stuff happens that is out of the makers control, yet as the campaign owner, they are responsible for everything!
The first thing we MUST DO is disregard the DELIVERY DATE! Very few can achieve it, and only because of luck, simplicity or a lot of pre work , did it happen.
Ask yourself how often things work out perfectly for you and you can see it! Now factor in suppliers from other countries, different languages and, hey it can easily get out of control!
As long as a campaign is communicating be nice! Venting here helps only you and achieves nothing.
Thanks for the updates, definitely among the best communicated campaigns on KS.
Nick, no sweat mate. I hate you far more for how far the All Blacks are going to beat the Springboks by in the next few months.
Remember to give an option to add a unit to my order as per your earlier indication. I think you said at the time of confirming addressed?
I'd rather have a decent quality product late, than a sub standard product on time. You've made the right choice.
Again, thank you for keeping us up to date .. production is a trip, the fact that you have had to make 10 times what you bargained on would have been a game changer .. thanks for keeping us up to date & better late and a great product than compromising quality to deliver on time.
Thanks for the update, good luck...
Thanks for the comments
If I was producing a new plastic toy I probably wouldn’t be as concerned but as this is a sound that you are interested in ,
It has to be good , not just good but great and thats what you are going to get .
So thanks for the patience
Hey nick, don’t worry! I bet all of us are more interested in a perfect saxmonica than to have it super fast. I wish everyone enough patience for that. And I wish you all power you need to finish your work with the quality level of your choice. Especialy this is why we spend money for your project! Keep going
Good job, no worries
Nick, I think you have done a great being the "mouth piece" of this once, Man in shed dream. You'll soon be back to your shed and creating Monica's to your original recipe. Please do not forget, money is the route of all evil including dreams.
Thanks also to your Troupe for a truly "natureal" Campaign.
Pas de problème, Nick, prenez votre temps pour bien faire les choses. Tout à votre honneur. Bien cordialement. Gilles
No worries, take the time you need! And thx for the update.
No worries - excited to get it whenever it arrives!
Nick you update frequently i dont doubt this will be awesome when its in our hands. wishing you safe travels
Thanks Nick for the update.
No worries. We understand.
I am excited about this project and am willing to wait until it is developed to your satisfaction.
Watch out for the Golden Week holiday starting 01 Oct.
China will be off for a week and typically, deliveries will get jammed up as everyone is grabbing all available delivery modes 1-2 weeks prior to the holiday.
Hi there. We have just sorted out the quirks in the App so I will publish beginning of next week.
All the tutorials are on it including reed information
Hope to publish next Monday to give you a chance to look at it and listen to the backing tracks etc
Can we have a video tutorial to remove & change the reed or mouth piece?
Nick it is well worth the wait. This product is really cool and well worth waiting for.
