by Nicholas Millington , Rio Millington,
Thank you for all your hard work and updates! I am SO excited to received my Saximonica and learn how to play it. It sounds great! Keep up the good work and for thinking of making it as easy as possible to learn and have it sound amazing! I'm sure all of us novices really appreciate your efforts!! :)
Just had a look at the mini saxophones on the bangood website. I have seen them and tried playing them but found them very difficult to get a good tone out of them. They have too many fingering holes so they are hard to hold and play.
When you get your Saxmonica you will understand how important the thumb hook is on the back of it.
This allows you to relax your hands therefore making it a lot easier to get the high notes. We are using an alto sax mouth piece so when your mouth muscles develop you will have a lot more control over the tone.
Further to this we are concentrating on developing a new sound that really dose not require anyone to study musical books or practice that much.
Once you an produce a nice consistent tone you should be able to follow these tracks quite easily.
You have to remember that your mouth is a muscle and as it develops strength you will find it is a lot easier to get that consistent smooth tone.
This is why I’m saying 28 days to get that consistent tone but once you have it you are never going to loose it.
We have lots more to come over the next few weeks all with the aim of helping any Saxmonica player to really get the full experience out of this instrument
Hi Guys. The first round of marketing was to demonstrate how to play the Saxmonica and show that it is easy to get to grips with it.
Now what we are doing is showing what can be done with it.
I should explain that these are all one takes with very basic recording setup.
We are creating a series of backing tracks where you can just delete me and play your own version over the top.
If you watch or listen to what I’m doing , I really am just following the beat and trying to make a nice tone so it’s really not that difficult.
We are creating a range of genres. Jazz ,reggae ,blues ,fusion etc so the aim is to really help with non musical people, to create the confidence to play and really enjoy this instrument.
We are travelling and meeting people on the way and recording them.
So although it’s work,it’s great fun and through this process of learning I really hope to be able to transfer a lot of what I have learned over the last year to you guys out there.
Cant wait to try ours out!
Are you aware that they are selling similar items on the 'Banggood Website'?
They are selling for circa US$35 a pop!
I know they don't don't look as good but I think someone has cloned/ pinched your product!
Cheers and best of luck... Neil
Nick you've succeeded in turning the world on its axis! Maybe that is why I fell out of bed this morning?
All work and no play and Nick loses his Kiwi passport?
Your doing a phenomenal job mate.
