And so it begins…

At 425k, these 3 flagellant miniatures are a new and frightening departure for even the battle-hardened soldiers of the Hundred Years’ War.

In battle they don’t make any effort to defend themselves. Even so, they are so tough that they have a 50/50 chance of ignoring any wounds they suffer.

In addition to rolling dice as normal, when they attack they can choose to spend myth tokens to change out of combat results into kills. Flagellants aren’t a normal unit by any means, but for a clever commander they can be very useful.

L'histoire commence...
L'histoire commence...

@Skyhunterd - Yeah "may attack a second time" would also work.

Why the bear tamer's portrait is the same as the Bear ? I feel like it should be the picture of the guy himself instead, shouldn't be ?

Good background, good mini, good gameplay, good game :) ! cool...

That bit of background really helps set the mood for this unit.
I kind of hope the 'normal' units also get a bit of fluff and history within the rulebook as well.

Perform an attack(noun) = Attack (verb). Just saying...

@Mario - "once per turn" may well end up as an icon. Lots more work to do on these yet :)

Yes, I'm sure the number of details are pretty significant! Thanks for the good work revising and cleaning up what's shaping to be a fun experience for your customers.

Very cool unit. I really like the art and the ability. But I do have some suggestions regarding the ability text.
      1) I think "Once per turn" shouldn't be its own sentence. I'd write it as "Once per turn, if ..."
      2) I'd specify it with "after the first attack, ..."
      3) I'd refer to the bear as "it" rather than "he".
      4) I'd use "perform" instead of "make". To me "make an attack" just sounds ugly.

      Just personal preferences.

@Smottz - I've done a set of rules already and am working on the next draft (the first you'll see). Lots of detail stuff remaining, and that's all fine because we've got the time slotted in. This will include a series of public betas, as we did with MBP, except hopefully even better. I think we did 9 versions with MBP :)

Superbe introduction le texte est très sympa et laisse présager du bon pour la suite !! J'ai presque l'impression d'entendre l'introduction d'un scénar de jeu de rôle ^^ vivement plus de news !

The art direction for this game is great, but the embossed squares on the Bear card look very dated' out of place. Is this likely to change?

    13. Smottz on October 11

I know that Jake Thornton is tasked with rules editing. Sylvain Broche and Julien Fenoglio are over translation. Perhaps they can combine forces.

    14. Christian on October 11

Looks like it should be "once per combat, IF the bear advanceS after combat..."

Oops... sorry guys. We posted the wrong version. Fixing it now.

As you say, it doesn't make sense.

Yup. I also saw that card wording and thought, "That doesn't make sense..."

And is it optional? It doesn’t say may. It just says they do it.

Not just that, the way it’s written the bears could keep chaining around the table potentially. I have a feeling they mean once per activation they can get an extra attack.

    19. Skyhunterd on October 11

Um, yes. The grammar and syntax feel a bit wonky.

I’m really worried about these preview cards. They’re not worded well at all. Are the rules for their other games written/translated well?
