To Boldly Go…
In Robert E. Howard’s original Solomon Kane stories, he travelled across Europe and widely in Africa. There were hints at other adventures elsewhere, but no details. Having raided almost all of Howard’s works for game content, we still had an appetite to explore further. The new lands of America seemed the obvious choice.
This new expansion includes everything you need to continue your adventures with Solomon Kane in a whole new continent. It is not long before Kane discovers that there is evil here too, just as there is good. The Old World’s curses seem to have crossed the oceans before him.
America - The New World offers two new tales, each created especially for this game.
The first looks at the lost colony ofRoanoake, and asks what happened to it. This is an enduring mystery. Perhaps Solomon Kane can solve it.
Salem is a name that conjures up stories of witches, wild accusations, mass hysteria, and public executions. Solomon Kane lived some time before the famous witch trials, and his experience of the sleepy town of Salem is very different.
And much worse.
The lost colony of Roanoake
Solomon Kane arrives in the New World and travels the forests of the North East, where he hopes to replenish his supplies of powder and shot at a new European settlement. When he gets there, the place is deserted, and the roof of one building smoulders from an untended stove. It’s like the people just disappeared in the middle of their daily activities. Kane searches for clues.
Search for clues to the settlers’ fate, make contact with a local tribe and find out about the Wendigo, sinister flesh eating creatures of darkness. Persuade the Chief and the Medicine Man to help you find the Wendigo lair, fight dangerous animals and hostile tribes on the way, and ultimately do battle with the evil Wendigo in their underground stronghold.
The Witches of Salem
Solomon Kane’s journey takes him to Massachusetts and the new settlement of Salem. The town is little more than a few fisherman’s huts on a marshy estuary, but there’s trouble afoot when Solomon enters. A mob jeers as an old woman is led to a makeshift gallows.
The Legacy of Evil is one that could affect the town for decades to come if Solomon does not put an end to it. Get to the bottom of the witchcraft hysteria that blights Salem. Prevent the execution of innocent people, risking the mob’s wrath. Uncover the true nature of evil in the town and defeat a coven of witches in the swamp who use Salem’s children as their agents. After all that, Kane must do battle with his ultimate foe, the Price of Darkness himself, The Desolate One. Lucifer...
As always, if you are interested in any of our add-ons, simply click on the green “manage your pledge” button near the top of the page. Then increase your total by the amount of any add-ons you wish to include in your pledge. So, if you have a Puritan pledge ($110) and want to add the America – the New World ($40) box, you would increase your total to $150. If you decide to add Heart of Africa later ($55), simply click on the green “manage your pledge” button again, and add that amount to your total. You can change your pledge as many times as you want while the campaign is running.
Note that during the campaign there is no way for you to tell us what the money you pledge is actually for, so don’t worry about that now. Instead, after the Kickstarter is over we will send you a “pledge manager”. This allows you to tell us exactly how you want to allocate your pledge, which add-ons you would like, how many core boxes, and (most importantly) where we need to send it all!
