The Reason Why

Last night was amazing!!! We met our ambitious goal of $22,000, and the pledges are still coming in. Our hearts are so full and we are grateful for all the incredible support. When we realized we had met the goal, many of our members posted on their social media sites their excitement and hope for our future. There was one post in particular that stood out to me, and I felt I had to share to with everyone. It's from one of our ACT Kid members, who joined ACT in 2013. This is what she had to say:

"This is a dream come true. In just one rainy, cold day, ACT Theater Company has surpassed their goal! I'm sure we are all very excited, but I think I am the most. You see, ACT has brought my father and I even closer than we were ever before. Because of many of your generous donations, my dad and I can continue to do shows together. My mother will also be dancing in the next show (hopefully)! She loves to make props for every show. ACT has also given my sister an excuse to come see us but even if she doesn't, they give us a quality video to send to her, so she can still see me sing and dance my heart out! ACT has brought theater back into the Coppola family. And now, they can continue doing so. I have so much fun with every show, and I make a whole batch of new friends, and new relationships with old friends. Thank you all for donating! I am the happiest girl in the whole wide world right now!!! Now, on behalf of the Coppola family, my mother thanks you, my father thanks you, my sister thanks you, and I thank you."

This one post, from an 11 year old ACT member, says it all. When we first started ACT, we wanted to create a theater family, which was made up of people of all types and backgrounds. One of the most amazing things is how many actual families we have that perform on stage together...parents and kids, siblings, aunts, nieces...the list goes on. This is what the core of ACT is and the reason why we are fighting to hard for our future.

Thank you so much for helping my family get ready for the our new adventure.
