Yet so near, yet so far...
CreateSpace has me tearing my hair out with their goal-post moving regarding our cover specs.
Our initial files had an extra 1/8" of bleed that had their review telling us "durrr, if you want a white border on the edge of your cover it needs to be .325" wide."
No other alleged blocking issues, however.
We fixed it to have the regular 1/8" bleed, eliminating the sliver of white on one edge, and now a different reviewer is calling our artist's signature/date "text" that's too close to the bleed and saying that the back cover advertisement can't reference Amazon, two issues that the previous reviewer did not flag.
So, clearly Amazon's cover review process is a roulette, and I need to just keep tweaking and spinning the wheel until I get back to the person who only thought that the bleed was the issue. Or actually get ahold of support by phone. Their 24 hour support turn-around time is killing me.
Good news is, I should be getting the final proof of the hardcover soon, and the digital stuff is DONE.
