We came up with this name by combining the names of two most famous inventors, Alexander Graham Bell, who invented telephone, and Thomas Edison who invented the first commercially practical incandescent light bulb. The idea here is to combine networking and LED lighting together to make smart LED lighting. Both inventors are admired by Belleds founders as they changed the world over the last 100+ years. Belleds team strives to make an impact in the world by bring wirelessly connected Smart LED lighting to every home to conserve energy and enrich people's life with color and sound.

We have a variety of designs for the Q Station and Q Bulb diffuser, and will be posting an update in the next week or so showing the mock-ups. We welcome your feedback, and if there is a lot of disagreement, we will have a survey at the end of the campaign to learn people's preferences for the final design.
It is dimmable wirelessly, but not with traditional in-wall AC dimmer knobs. To address this, we plan to release a gesture control device which you can use to dim the lights and/or change the colors without needing an electrician to install anything new.
In addition to iOS/Android phone APP, we will provide a web-based control system, so you can use a computer, tablet, or phone to control without the APP. Also, we will release wireless control expansions for the Q Station. We plan to work on Window phone APP next year after everything is released.
Yes. You can turn the Q Bulb on and off by the wall switch the same way as you control the any other bulbs. We are developing a gesture control unit which allows you to change color and dimming without the Q station. With the Q station, you can control the lights using any smart devices locally or remotely.
The Q station is an open and intelligent contral control unit. You need the Q station for remote control from the cloud, streaming music, track usage/energy consumption analytics, communicate with other home appliances, interoperate with other mobile games and apps, and many many other advance features.
