Help me take Time To Rant to the next level. A comic that rants about everything from video games to customer service.
Time To Rant is a webcomic/blog dedicated to the all glorious rant. The topics vary and involve pretty much anything that is worth a good rant. For example, my previous blogs and comics poke fun at poor customer service, the lack of respect gaming companies have for their consumers, the hypocrisy of racism, and much more. Fair warning: Time To Rant isn't for the faint of heart. Although the primary aim is to be offensive, I strive to use humor and satire to get my points across.
The purpose of this project is to help me take Time To Rant to a professional level. Currently I create the comics using a freeware program called GIMP and a very sub-par tablet (to say the least). I would like to have the software necessary to bring my comics up to my artistic standards. I have the talent to draw great comics, but my resources limit my ability to fully express what I can do. The advertising used to keep the site afloat is merely word of mouth and hours upon hours of posting updates in several forums. I would like to advertise with Google, Yahoo/Bing, and other popular search engines to increase traffic to my site.
Here is my workstation. As you can see..... I need all the help I can get!
With your help, Time To Rant will reach a new level by allowing me to purchase the appropriate software, equipment, and advertising. Every little bit helps, and hopefully if I surpass my goal, I'll be able to make an appearance at Comicon!
I will be purchasing a Cintiq Tablet and a new computer with dual screens.
Adobe Photoshop CS5
I will focus mainly on Google and Yahoo/Bing. There are other smaller sources I will utilize as well.
A panel is a single window from the comic. A strip will be the entire comic.
The hand drawn strips and panels will either be from an existing comic that I will sit down a redraw by hand or if you pledge $500 or more I will contact you and we will come up with an idea for a strip and I will hand draw it prior to creating it digitally.
