About

This project has been in the works for a long time coming.  I wrote this song back in 1987 and it appeared as the opening credit song in the Top Grossing Horror film of 1988, Renny Harlin's A Nightmare on Elm St. 4: The Dream Master.

I was cast for the film as teenage insomniac Kristen Parker.  This was my first feature and I was so excited, I remember running out of the casting office and I fell down the stairs of the New Line Cinema building, but I didn't care because I was so happy.

Durring the filming process I heard the director talking with the Producers saying they were looking for music.  And they had already gotten some big names for the film.  And I had just released my debut album about 6 months before so I told them to let me see what I could come up with.   So I ran back to my studio with my writing partner and we wrote and composed this song in 3 hrs.

I took it back to the studio and played it for the director in my car and he grabbed the tape and said "We will use it!"  I had no idea where it would be used in the film but I was happy.  After we were done shooting and we had the premiere in Hollywood, I was sitting in the theatre and there it was right there when the movie started.  I nearly fell out of my seat.

When the film was reviewed it was reviewed well, and they also talked about my song.  Well needless to say it didn't make it on the soundtrack, and it would have been one hell of a single.  But it didn't happen.

So now I am doing a limited run to give the fans what they have been wanting since 1988.

Our goal is $20,000 I know that seems like a lot... but with the fee's on the license of a huge company cost money and of course the amounts to put together the project, and to pay the people that helped make it happen.  That is just what it is.

This is the last time this song will be released in any way.  So lets make this happen!
