Kickstarter is "all or nothing". Reaching the target means that at the end of the campaign, funds will transfer and rewards will be delivered. But for a film, the "target" is usually the bare minimum needed, so the campaign urgently needs to raise more to improve the film, the outreach, and deliver the message ad best it can.
Everyone involved is passionate about this project. The filmmakers have financed it themselves to date. Yes, it is correct that the target amount is not large, and that speaks to the commitment of all involved, It also speaks to the need for the campaign continues to seek funding during the final days.

Yes they are, by virtue of a fiscal sponsorship with From The Heart Productions, Inc. a 501c3 corporation. They will send notices after the campaign as required by law, and your accountant can best answer specific questions you may have.
We do want to submit the film to festivals, but also want to do whatever general release we have the ability to do as soon as possible. This depends upon the level of final funding. Please see the top of the page - section: IMPORTANT NOTE FROM PRODUCERS.
That would be getting ahead of ourselves. Hopefully there is no real life sequel with this guy. But we and our mental health professionals are interested in exploring the phenomenon of the Trump supporter to a greater degree. Time will tell.
