"Long Road" will be a full length album that will include mixing and mastering on each original song on the album.
Costs go to cover studio time, mixing, mastering, artwork, copyrights for all of the songs and production costs and more (more in detail below).
My name is Allie Sealey. I am a singer/songwriter and extreme music enthusiast. I discovered my passion for writing and music at a very young age as I used to set up stuffed animals and put on live concerts for them. My parent's went through a divorce when I was approaching adolescence and I found a friend each time I heard a song on the radio. I escaped in songs. Although I would write and sing behind closed doors, I was too afraid at this time to show anyone the passion I had for the craft. I battled alcoholism at a young age and began a sober journey at the age of 17 and moved in with my grandfather after his wife of 52 years passed away. Late, but better than never, I began teaching myself guitar as I lived with him. I began putting the songs I write to chords and play them for him daily. My first successful Ep was in his memory. I could not hide my passion for music because it was all I felt I had left. It was all I felt I could count on. Since my grandpa passed away, I play everyday. I began playing on periscope and was featured on the app a few times. My following grew and it has helped my ability to create music projects tremendously. I thank you for choosing to follow my journey and hope my songs can be a friend to someone else that may need or want one.
The FIRST FULL LENGTH ALBUM !!! ("Long Road")
The songs on this album are about life's journey. After all, life is not about the destination. Life is about the journey. The songs on this proposed album encompass true experiences about Love, hope, rodeo, alcoholism/addiction, death, perseverance, the musician road life, and more. After packing my car and driving 9 state's, performing in each whether on the street or in a venue, I feel ready to record more of my songs. I feel the best way to continue to better myself as a songwriter and musician is to continue to write, record, and perform my music.
The money raised from this campaign will be used for
traveling to Nashville, TN and/or Muscle Shoals, Alabama
hire musicians to play on the record such as; drums, electric guitar, piano, and bass
utilize sound engineering to mix and master the record
CD replication and duplication
album artwork and design
My goal is set as a minimum of $10,000 because I believe that is the minimum in order to begin putting together a project of this nature. In reality it will end up more in the realm of $15,000 or so. However, I have slept in my car and spent a year living off $400 a month so you can trust that the money will be used for the craft of songwriting and trying to put together the best quality we can.
If we can reach a higher goal during this campaign ($20,000), I would love to record more songs, put together a music video or a few, and push the record a bit to radio.
Songs for album:
Ride Em Up
The Other Side of the Radio
Scams in Society
Where Do I Go From Here
Am I supposed to be in Tennessee Yet
please believe me
Tug Of War
Hollow End for Cocaine
Risques et défis
As we continue to drive down this "long road" I am confident with our Gator team we can conquer all challenges. As long as I reach my goal of $10,000 then I know a great album can start coming together! I have way more then 10 songs available to be recorded so if we go over we can record a few more and/or make a music video. If we don't reach the goal then I will be unable to make this album in the near future.
It's a challenge to raise so much money but I believe that with your help it's possible!!
