In honor of NorCal soul/pop/dub/everything band, Blammos, we are taking on the challenge of creating 30 individual music videos in one month. Join us as we attempt to maintain sanity, friendship, heart and soul throughout this sure to be challenging (and sleep-depriving) process.
This is independent music (and film) at its grittiest. This is Project 30 in 30.
To complete 30 music videos in 30 days.
To promote independent musicians in the process – offering them a unique video and the opportunity to be a part of a larger musical project.
To utilize any and all forms of music video styles/techniques (animation, concert video, drawing, still photos, text, sign language, etc etc) – while maintaining a shoestring budget.
The videos will need to be creative and resourceful (given the time challenge) and accessible (given the audience and format). We are taking our passion for music and offering the opportunity for artists to promote their new work with a unique and professional music video at low/no cost or risk to them.
By having it be part of a larger project, the hope is for viewers to discover other new music they might otherwise not seek out while on our site. This is the barest form of artists helping artists.
We are a collective of artists and filmmakers including animators, actors, camera-people (still and video), editors and people of all talents which guarantees an unconventional and exciting music video production experience. It is a highly collaborative process and the goal is to work intimately with each musician to create the best possible video for the band - something they can truly say they had a hand in creating.
The final product will be a web-based series of 30 music videos as well as a 2(ish) hour DVD compilation of new music/picture.
