This is a board(plate in Raspberry Pi language) that allows reading the temperature through a thermocouple sensor and controlling 2 external loads such as fans , peltier coolers or others.
The board can read temperatures form 0 to 400 degrees Celsius (32 to 752 degrees Fahrenheit) , but this is limited to the K type thermocouple used. A higher temperature could be read if the thermocouple probe is replaced with a higher temperature probe (not provided).

It can be used as a temperature logger extremely easy . Since it provides a script to read the temperature , just type
read_temperature > log.txt
This will save all the temperature data to a file
3. Reflow oven controller
The board sits on top of the Raspberry Pi board and is connected and powered through the extension port.
The board comes with an installation script that will install some basic scripts that will allow some basic functionality to the board.
Some of the scripts :
1. read_temperature -will print the temperature read from the sensor
2 relay_on cold/hot will turn on the relays named cold or hot
3. relay_off cold/hot will turn off relays names cold or hot
4. temperature_hold will try to control the temperature by turning the cold or hot relays
Web Interface :
we will provide a Python / Flask script that allows the temperature to be read through a web browser.
We design and build the boards in-house.We own a pick and place machine ad a reflow oven.
Strech goal : $2500
Think of possibility to transform this board to a reflow oven controller.
We will add code that will allow temperature profiles.
Risks and challenges
In case of a reasonable demand, all units will be built by us; if the demand is higher the parts of the unit will be outsourced locally which means a longer lead time. We have experience with building and shipping products, and also we have most of the equipment in house. With all this, we try very hard to minimize the risk.
Also if there is a higher demand there might be some parts shortages which might delay the production. Fortunately the parts could be procured from multiple places.
