2 Minute Mysteries: a multi-screen interactive experience
2 Minute Mysteries is an interactive multi-platform series in which you take on the role of the detectives and try to solve the crimes.
You have to try out the prototype...they're a lot of fun to play!
To solve/play the episodes individually, go to http://www.2MinuteMysteries.com
To solve/play the episodes with a group of people for the multi-screen experience, follow these instructions:
On your computer (which will act as the movie/tv screen) go to
on your smartphone or tablet go to http://2minutemysteries.com/movie
Select your showtime and click Next at the bottom of the screen. (Be sure to check the same showtime on both your computer and smartphone/tablet)
Solve the episodes!
Video 1 is a two minute ‘elevator pitch’ on the product. It discusses:
·The product – an interactive multi-screen experience that has 2 different versions of the prototype available today (individual play and group play options)
·How the product will generate revenue
·My past projects which received extremely positive reviews for example CNN, NY Times, AP, Reuters and several others - this emphasizes my experience in not only producing the product, but also in generating media coverage to market the product
·How you can help make my dream become a reality
Video 2 is a very brief demo of how the group play option works. Essentially on a large internet enabled screen the videos will play and each person in the room will interact with it using their smartphone (or tablet) to try to solve the crimes. The faster you solve it, the more points are earned (if you solve them correctly) and the person with the highest score at the end wins.
2 Minute Mysteries is a series of interactive multi-screen mysteries in which you try solve the crimes. There are two versions of the prototype available today.
·For the online-only version (individual play), please visit 2MinuteMysteries.com
·For the multi-screen version (group play), please email me email@example.com to set up a showtime (please put '2MM showtime' in the subject line). In essence, you and your friends will watch the videos on a large internet enabled screen together, for example your computer, and each player will interact with the videos using their smartphone or tablet to try to solve them. The player with the highest score at the end, wins.
The prototypes were made on a shoestring budget.
35+ episodes have been written with a higher budget in mind (i.e. more characters, more locations etc.). I am in the process of raising funds to produce the episodes.
Raising more funds beyond the goal will allow for more episodes produced with more characters, settings, more ending per episode etc.
Risks and challenges
Only my own death will stop me from producing 2 Minute Mysteries.
2 Minute Mysteries has been a passion of mine for several years. I have cautiously been making progress on it as I have completed extensive research and produced several prototypes. The prototypes have received extremely positive feedback to date (including a great review in USA Today).
A significant amount of work has already been completed including completing the scripts for all of the episodes, location scouting, and other film requirements as well as mock-ups of what the final website will look like (and its functionality).
This Kickstarter campaign will be a final push to complete it.
As stated before, I am more than happy to set up a showtime for anyone to play the prototype for the group option. Feel free to email me firstname.lastname@example.org to request a showtime (please put 2MM Showtime in the subject line) and you can invite as many friends as you want to play it with you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
