 THEMATIC

An authentic story that classify discourse issues across the global; Immigration concerns, racial discrimination, Xenophobia, cultural conflicts and civil wars. We intend to showcase the powerful spirit of emotional survival which drives from stiff global discourses.   The play has been much inspired from events of xenophobia attacks that took place in South Africa which also bring to the connection to the story that girls are being trafficked from developing countries to developed countries to work as sex-workers.

Synopsis

Wasted Adjectives tells a tale of migrants who were subjected to move from one place to another to quest for peace. As they tell their story, they encounter human rights challenges; their journey to search for green pasture is being motivated by cruel political creed back at home and how the living condition are at refugee camps. Discrimination all over the world has corrupted human minds and those who face discrimination in one way or the other live in an inferiority complex.

This narrative and Theatre dance production will be performed first all three regions of Malawi with the potential for an international tour in countries like in Africa: Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa, Europe: UK, France, Israel and Germany with success of this funding.  The premiere date for the show will be booked as far in advance as possible into a reputable and supportive theatre spaces in form of Festivals and Shows. Support this realisation of young artists.

Risks and challenges

Organising world tour production has been very unique with great energy from young theatre makers but still face great challenge to make it to real.

The project has the hiccup in travel funding to tour five countries in Europe and Five in Africa, accommodation and Meal is another risk which we are willing to take for about 60 days tour. We are so excited to venture into this powerful project and share it to the world.
