Back from Holidays and ready for a fresh start!
I took a long family break over the summer and indulged in a Sicilian love affair with family, friends, nature and PIZZA, of course!
During the summer months some very prestigious publications have run interviews on Terra Nostra.
Many of you will have followed my posts on social media but I wanted to write a specific update here so you have it.
American Suburb X's Brad Feuerhelm and I had a great discussion on my work and the resulting interview is one I am extremely proud of!
Journalist Albertine Bourget wrote an article on French La Cité resulting from a really pleasant Skype chat/interview.
Japanese magazine based in New York, HEAPS run a wonderful article too and I am super glad to share it with you, although only a bunch of you will be able to read Japanese!!
The prestigious British publication PORT magazine featured the book!
The glorious Claire Holland, who was the person who originally commissioned me to work on Terra Nostra for the FT Weekend Magazine in March 2009 has interviewed me this past July for Photomonitor. We spoke about Sicily, childhood, photography and life. I loved it and I am super proud to share this with you.
Another publication is due to come out this October on the prestigious Colombian Exclama magazine...so there is no link to the article but if you follow me on Facebook / Instagram and Twitter you'll be able to see it when it comes out.
In the pipeline there are some talks and presentations at Falmouth University and at UCA Rochester while in November I will be signing books at Paris Photo.
I am planning to launch Terra Nostra in Italy and I am currently searching for suitable venues and partners, so if you have any clue please don't be shy and write to me!!
Some ideas are buzzing in my head, but it's now too early to write anything specific....I only give you a hint....JAPAN!
In the meantime I am working on my long term everyday chasing #EastUpClose of which I am posting on my Instagram at the moment...so please follow my there too!!
I am sure I am forgetting quite a few things that will come to my mind as soon as I press SEND....so please do not be upset if I will send you another update eventually in the months to come.
I love you a lot and as always, THANKS FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT!!!!
PS: I am still available for assignments and I am still available for workshops, portfolio reviews and presentations - sorry for this tiny self-promo!
