Take home some of my Costa Rica photography when you help fund my research project!
This summer I am participating in a wildlife conservation research project in Costa Rica. Each of us will be placed into groups that will be working directly with endangered species like sea turtles, dolphins, toucans, spider monkeys , or poison dart frogs. We will be studying the habitats and observing the behaviors of the different species. Species like the sea turtle have been seeing a decline in population numbers because their nesting sites are becoming more disturbed with tourism and poaching. It is my mission to help preserve some of the habitats in Costa Rica.
Many people don't realize the effects that some species on this planet play on our environment. We should consider the sea turtle as a species that regulates marine sea grass beds, so that there may be breeding grounds for other fish species. And consider the sea turtle as a regulator of jelly fish in the sea, or a nutrient provider to our beaches to keep them from eroding away. The loss of sea turtles means an unhealthy ecosystem. If we considered the role of many species this planet consist of we would know that ensuring the success of these species would bring great benefit.
With your donation, you would be help make the world a better place. With your donation, you would be preserving our beaches and adding more plant and animal life. With your donation you would be help restore diversity among endangered species.
Below is some of my photography from my portfolio so that you can get a sense of the quality of photos I take.
Risks and challenges
The obstacles that stand in the way of fulfilling this project is funding. Without funds there will be no research project. Once the funding is there, my time will be fully volunteered with a group of professional researchers in that field. As for the rewards for your donations, most of it is photography based, and I love taking photos, so finding really great shots shouldn't be difficult, especially in such a beautiful place. Then once I arrive home I can send the pictures to be made into the different rewards. Check out the video to see some of my photography!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
