About this project
Plumerai has been a staple on the Boston scene throughout most of the 2000's. Having gone through various line-up changes, multiple tours, a trip across the Atlantic and so much more, the band are now embarking on another full-length.
A taste of what's to come is hinted in their current EP 'Marco Polo'. It features new members, vocalist Eliza Brown and drummer Mickey Vershbow. Since the two have joined Plumerai, the music has taken on a new life and the band tranformed yet again. They have been writing material better suited to the new line-up and now they want this to be the biggest release they've done. Anything less would be a disservice to the music.
Having culled the best of their collective output since Summer of 2011, the band hopes to complete their new record tentatively titled : Mondegreen. The project will be recorded at 1867 Studios with engineer Chris McLaughlin here in Massachusetts, once again mixed by Wes Gillespie at Roost Frequency Studios in Raleigh, NC and mastered by New Alliance back here in Massachusetts. The funds raised via Kickstarter will ensure that we have the best talent working on making the CD a reality and to ensure that it is released on schedule so that for the first time in our career we'll be able to coincide the release with the myriad of promotional opportunities that having a united campaign can afford a band such as ours. In addition, we will be hand crafting the covers ourselves under the guidance of new drummer Mickey. Unlike the previous covers, this won't just be a print job. Instead we'll be constructing the CD covers/booklets themselves and continuing on with the printing via a Gocco Press.
